With high-powered builds comes the need for decent protective gear. To start, I'm a total novice when it comes to motorcycle gear and protecting yourself at high speeds on two wheels. So I'm hoping we can get some contributions in this thread from the 3KW and up crowd to help out newcomers and share what gear has worked well for you. Personally, I'm aiming to strike a balance between decent protection, style, and keeping a low-profile. If that means sacrificing a little protection for looks or to keep off the unwanted attention, we're talking a little not a lot, that's OK. I think many here can appreciate the desire to keep a low-profile and not draw too much attention to themselves while trying to enjoy the limits of their machine as responsibly as they can. For me this means the full-face motorcycle helmet is out.

That said, what I'm currently considering is the Bell Rogue. I can dig the style, it's also not a full helmet, and the muzzle is removable to keep a lower profile when you want to cruise.

So what low-profile protective gear have or are you currently using that has served you well for your high-powered ebike? We're talking helmets, gloves, jackets, boots/shoes, pads, goggles, etc.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Some info below. Other searches will find more/different things.

Fails to see how riding fast enough to need lots of protective gear is low profile.

I get it you might want more than a bike helmet, might want to wear boots, thicker gloves than bike stuff. But it's just not going to be that low profile.

Dogman,

I'm finding that I spent most my time below 25 mph; however, I'll kick it up to 40 mph on occasion and join traffic to get to where I want to go. Since the majority of my time is spent cruising, I don't want to be fully decked out in gear so I can enjoy the weather, but am still looking for some protection. Just trying to strike a balance. Maybe I'm a little ignorant in thinking there's more subtle gear out there that still does the job /shrug.

There's lots of mtb protective gear that would fit under your clothes if you are willing to go that way. A mtb full face also looks a little less moto and offers good protection.
