Leaving charger connected but switched off?

I just wondered can any power be drained out of the battery (or are there any other negative effects) if the charger is left connected to the battery and connected to the power point but switched off at the power point?
Leaving it like this for a couple of days if the battery is fairly low.

The charger may power up backwards, and it will drain the battery some. If it lights up when connected that way, it is. You can put a switch on that charger output wire easy enough.

NEVER leave anything powered up like that when the battery is low. NEVER EVER.

Most small bike and scooter size chargers tend to get shaken to death by mounting on the vehicle. Check inside for vulnerable stuff like little daughter boards.

I often run my charger on a 4 hour timer if I want to charge overnite and have the bike ready for the next morning. It will be connected, but unpowered when the timer runs off.

I agree that it's smart to disconnect all this stuff when not using it.
