If there was a high voltage version available this would be perfect for a quick release/kill switch battery connection for those people using a rucksack to carry their battery.

I agree but this is such small scale at the moment I can understand them pricing it high to cover some of their development costs. I don't thing there is much innovative technology in it so I think the price will need to come down significantly once they get up and running.
