Bicycle Retailer notes:
A total of 19 product innovation awards will now be distributed across mountain, road, electric and triathlon categories. The most notable change will be that the products recognized will now be for the upcoming 2018 sales season instead of looking back at 2017 cycle. Only brands that are participating at Interbike or Outdoor Demo will be considered and all submissions must be made by no later than July 15th, 2017.

Starts:
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Interbike says The Circuit, its indoor electric bike test track, has sold out for the third year in a row and will be officially sponsored by Bosch.

The show also announced an agreement that extends its partnership with the Electric Bike Association as the official development partner of The Circuit at Interbike.

More than 30 brands will have the e-bikes available to test at The Circuit. Those brands include Bulls Bikes USA, Easy Motion USA/BH Bikes, eProdigy Bikes, Stromer, Bosch, Tempo and more. The Circuit test track will have an updated course layout, with long straightaways to get the bikes up to speed, a 50-foot ramp to experience how each model handles a simulated short climb, and more.

Watt? NO racing (yet)??? [Grumble Grumble] Hehe...

It always amazes me to see $3000-$4000 non electric bikes selling.
Well, that is an average in some bike sports, and a bare minimum in some other. Of course, those are usually not purchased for leisure or commuting. Yet, cycle sports are more popular every year.
