Friction drive on powertool batteries?

Post by yoyoman » Jul 19 2017 10:04pm

I have a few 36V Bosch fatpacks and some 40V black and decker lithium batteries. Is this too much voltage for the motors? The batteries are also just a couple Ah. Do you think I can ride the "last mile" or perhaps couple miles on just one battery?

I'm trying to see what I can do without investing in more batteries/chargers. Hmm, maybe if I split a pack into 2 strings, I can have a harness for running them in parallel and a harness to charge them in series on the powertool charger.
