Wheel builder UK?

Hi all

I have just built my second E-Bike due to upgrading to a larger 29er bike, my original kit is a 60v 27.5" Rear and still on the cheap Chinese rim. i have called over 6-7 local bike shops to try and get my hub motor re built on my 29" rim with no joy!! for some reason nobody will touch it.

If anyone knows someone who would take on the job it would be much appreciated

Not sure where you are in the UK, but try giving this guy a ring.... http://www.tillercycles.co.uk/index.html his name is Graham and he is in Warickshire. He can supply you with spokes and he might being willing to build the wheel for you if you post or drive it to him. Either that or keep the 27.5 on the new bike

I can understand why normal bike shops won't do it. The axle won't fit their wheel-building stands. Plus, it's very awkward to work with those motors because of their weight. Perhaps if you stopped keeping your location a secret, we could tell you where to take it.
