Ok, I figured it was about time I did a build log once my frame arrived. Handled with care.
Vector Lite 180mm swingarm, 100mm BB
Mxus 3t, 17in moto rim
Controller - still deciding, Powervelocity 24f?
18s8p Samsung 30q's
I've been thinking alot about the battery. This will be my first attempt at spot welding.
I have my cell holders already so I need to double check they add 1mm to each cell.
The swingarm is crazy wide, I'm not sure what crankarms are going to clear it.

It is ugly but practical, and sure will be fun to ride.

Re: Devo's 8kw Vector Lite build
Well if you saw my other Frankenstein builds you wouldn't think this was ugly. I'm excited to have a purpose build ebike frame for once. I've run this motor on 18s on my last bike and it went 50mph, I'm hoping for 8kw if I don't screw up the 18s8p battery build. I was going to copy the following layout but with 12awg copper wire soldered on top of the series connections, what do you think?

Re: Devo's 8kw Vector Lite build
Many are happy with batteries built with round cells. I never even looked into it, for they would need to be huge and heavy to deliver the power that I build. I am consuming RC lipo like they are gas.
