No one likes fast ebike anymore?

Also found this recent video with some really fast ebikes:

^^ Hehe... "No one likes fast ebike anymore?"... Search ES "Search found 844 matches: speed pedelec".

People like fast ebikes, but most on ES are not interested in production bikes that are available on the market. Some find them too slow, most find them too expansive for what they are.

ES is a DIY forum, and it is easy to build faster, better, cheaper, than commercially available ebikes. This will change, when mass production will hit the fast ebike market. For now, small series commercial ebikes are not competitive with artisanal DIY.

Hehe... Monsieur... (Master Horny Guy)

"This will change"... and it's not changing already, with manufacturers now swamping and stomping into the ebike marketplace?

Noticed all the ads lately for USED electric bikes? Being a "cheap guy", fav stores include second-hand shops. Almost all of my furniture currently is "second hand" (read "cheap"... or "free"...) Lots of shirts... and etc.

May the Gawds Bless the DIY Krew... but suspect skills will morph into fixing and upgrading...

Yep. While this is true about the common commercial ebikes, fast ebikes are still few and most of them are owners made.

There is a market in upgrading power and speed of commercial ebikes, but most of them are not built to handle much faster than they are already.

I wish some of the manufacturers come to target the off road motorcycle crowd, and mass produce fast ebikes that would match the cost and performance that we are building right now.

^^ Watts it called? The "off road motorcycle"?

Signed - Confused 21st-Century urban guy surrounded by crumbling road infrastructure... MAYBE "off road motorcycle" refers to navigating all the potholes?
