So I bit the bullet and bought a KMX recumbent trike kit. I'm ditching my crappy walmart bike, just took the cyclone 3000 motor off of it. I'm getting terrible Wh/mile on it and its being torn apart by the torque.
I'm not familiar with recumbent trikes so I'm looking for build advice.
This is my order list so far.

Front tire-http://www.utahtrikes.com/PROD-96.html
Front brakes-http://www.utahtrikes.com/PROD-289.html
Chain-http://www.utahtrikes.com/PROD-234.html
BB-https://lunacycle.com/isis-bottom-bracket-83mm-for-cyclone/
Sprocket-https://lunacycle.com/parts/cyclone-parts/cyclone-double-sprocket-kit-for-trikes-recumbents-and-pedicabs/
I'll use the rear brakes and derailleur from my existing bike.
I picked the 83mm BB but I don't know what the actual BB size is for the KMX kit, does anyone know?
Is there anything else I'm missing? Any advice?

I just realized this guy doesn't use the cyclone sprocket

I also realized I need an "idler" for the bike?
Do I need an idler if I use the sprocket? Is the sprocket method better or worse than the way gMan 1971 is doing it in the vid?
Unfortunately he has gone quiet on these forums I think.

Nothing important missing. You are doing fine so far with what you plan to build.

Yep, build big with a hub and save a lot of tempering, in the building and maintenance. Be faster, accelerate better, be silent, be reliable.

I already have a cyclone 3000 motor. Not going to buy a hub.
What about my other questions?
Should I place the motor in front like Gman1971 or use the cyclone sprocket? I think I recall Gman1971 saying something about optimizing the wave turbulence underneath the bike for better aerodynamics and range. Maybe the cyclone sprocket approach isn't the best idea because it places the motor underneath the bike?

Yep, you might need the idler, a tensioner, or other small hardware. There is always some fitting, tempering, and tuning before getting a mid drive running at its best, reliably.

I suggest fitting the mid drive motor close to the wheel, rather than BB. The long chain line on a trike is a potential problem that’s worth avoiding.
