Hey folks.

I recently bought a 48v "800w" brushless controller from ebay and I am trying to figure out how to enable regenertive breaking on this controller. I scoured the forums here but I couldn't find any information on how to do it for my particular controller.

Bike specs:
48v 1000w ebay hub motor
52v 20AH battery made from old power tool batteries
Gary fisher wahoo mountain bike
48v 800w 38A ebay controller

I used to have this controller until I plugged my battery in backwards and blew it up:

This controller DID have regen already enabled. Unfortunately I went to try to buy another one and the seller was out of stock, so I bought this one thinking it was internally the same controlller just with a lower LVC set in software. I need to have regen because I normally move at 30mph and regen really adds stopping power and saves the brake pads.

Turns out I was totally wrong. The layout of this controller is entirely different. I have uploaded a few photos:

I replaced the capacitors in the controller with 80v ones instead after I took these pictures so I could easily run a 60v battery in the future if I wanted to. The MOSFETS are rated for 75v so we should be okay there.

My old controller just had a solder pad labelled "EBS". When I got the controller, both those pads were shorted when I got it, so I looked to an EBS pad on this controller and didn't find one.

If I ultimately can't get this working, does anyone know of a cheap 48v brushless controller around the 30-40A rating that has regen? I don't want to go without it.

Thanks.
