Hello, I am building my first ebike battery. I would like a few inputs: I 65 cells Samsung 30Q and Panasonic NCR 18650 PF. I will be building a 48 Volt battery with 13 Cells in series and 5 cells in parallel, I will be placing the cells in a hailong battery case that can hold 65 - 18650 cells. My question is as follow: how strong should the pure nickel be welded to the 18650 so that it does not come off while I am riding my ebike due to vibration caused by bumps...
I also have the following welder: SUNKKO 709AD
I already have the 48 volts 30 amp BMS needed for my build.

Thank in advance for your input.

It depends on the nickel and the thickness it could be nickel-plated steel could be nickel-plated copper it could be pure nickel. Plus put some gaskets on the positive side. To protect the nickel strip from shorting on the negative can as the whole can is negative in between the series of cells put some sort of insulation or kapton tape. Or cell holders
