E-braking - 12v braking

I have a SVMC72150 and a QS. I am trying to get the motor to slow when I I squeeze my e-brake lever. I have e-brake with a red & black wire. The controller has a few e-brake wiring harness. One is a 12v that has only one connection, the other is a three point connector with positive, negative and signal. I have a small 12v battery onboard the bike to run the lights. I am not sure if that is helpful but I would like to see if anyone has any information on setting up some braking that really slows the motor.
