My black Giant DH Comp was stolen today in Boston.
Right on B Street and West Broadway. In front of the police station.

EM3ev bag, BMX handlebar.

Here's a picture.

I remember back in the 1980s the Southie gangs would troll the streets looking for cars with new tires whenever they needed a new set. They would steal your car in the middle of the night and a few days later it would be found abandoned missing a few parts. Not sure there is a mature market for parting out such a bike. Might want to post a "Wanted/Reward" poster in Southie and along Dot Ave. Also, keep an eye in Craigslist for the next few months.

You can’t really leave a bike unattended theses days or at least keeping an eye on it constantly. At minimum you need a motorbike chain (2 is better) and rear rotor alarm lock (cheap on ebay) and a standard one for the front wheel (so the wheel cannot turn).

If you do build a new bike its worth looking in to a tracker this way you could end up with where it went, its that or nothing. Personally I never leave mine anywhere alone.

Definitely keep an eye out for it you never know who ever stole it could be local.

That really sucks, sorry! Could you link the used lock? Just wanna know what I'll avoid.
I'm using a ABUS Bordo X Granit Plus 6500 in the rear and a noname folding lock in the front currently.
That someone steals my bike is my biggest fear because it's the only way I'm getting to work so I'm constantly thinking about things I could do to improve the security.
