Opignons on max power of a sexy and free dc motor

hello all!
A gui at the worckshop gave me this motor, he thinks it is from a submarine :shock:
Made by Alstom in the 90's, pancake-shaped, DC, 43v (weird isn't it?), rated 7,7a, 240w




I could get another one also :)
I suspect the motor is axial flux because the brushes are axial, and the collector a plate perpendicular to the shaft. but the brushes are too small to pass 20a continuous IMO, and the collector seems small!
I hope to use this motor on a clean road bike, with frame-welded brackets and mounting points!
How much can I over-volt it ? 60v could give some good assist at 10a, and I think that this motor is really efficient!

thanks Miles! i calculated efficiency at 76% from their numbers. I also examined the patents, and this motor seems to be an axial flux printed dc motor. however, torque is only 0,77n.m...
Does it mean the torque constant is 0,1n.m/A?
