hello all!
A gui at the worckshop gave me this motor, he thinks it is from a submarine
Made by Alstom in the 90's, pancake-shaped, DC, 43v (weird isn't it?), rated 7,7a, 240w
I could get another one also
I suspect the motor is axial flux because the brushes are axial, and the collector a plate perpendicular to the shaft. but the brushes are too small to pass 20a continuous IMO, and the collector seems small!
I hope to use this motor on a clean road bike, with frame-welded brackets and mounting points!
How much can I over-volt it ? 60v could give some good assist at 10a, and I think that this motor is really efficient!
