IXXAT V2 with Sevcon Controller

Has anyone tried out the new IXXAT USB-to-CAN compact V2 (# 1.01.0281.12001) with Sevcon's DVT software yet? Does it work properly? IXXAT stopped making the previous model - the USB-to-CAN compact (#1.01.0087.10200). I'm trying it and DVT is unable to initialize the adapter. All drivers are up to date, MinimonV3 works, just not recognizing the adapter through DVT...

I have EXACTLY the same problem. I bought the new IXXAT cabel and tried to use it with DVT software version 12.497, but it just does not work. I spent many nights, trying almost everything, but I always get the message "VCI CAN error : -536805367". This is trigerred by the "can init" command which calls the dll "dvtint_vci3.dll". This dll is the key to the solution. It was written in C language, source file "dvtint_vci3.c". Please help how to get the DVT running with my Sevcon Gen4. Please.

Quick message to confirm the USB-to-CAN V2 compact 1.01.0281.12001 device does not initialize properly with DVT 12.497 on my windows 8.1 computer as well, with the latest drivers 3.52 installed straight from IXXAT website. At least the V1 keeps working without downgrading the drivers.
If anyone has a higher version of DVT, feel free to send me message.

You need the Ixxat 1.5 or 1.6 or you need a lic key for a v2

IXXAT 1.5 or 1.6 hardware is impossibile to find... what do you mean by "lic key for v2" ,a newer version of DVT software or? and where to get it ?

I have USB-to-CAN V2, MiniMon V3 (which sees CAN comunication ok), and DVT 12.497 which doesn't recognise CAN communication ,says "VCI CAN error : -536805367"

And what do you guys mean by downgrading drivers, what exactly should I do, install drivers for IXXAT 1.5 or?

i bought my V1.6 a few months ago on ebay new in a box with all the goodies. did you check there?

Good advice, one sold on 30 April for $167USD, advertised as a V1.4 but plainly a V1.6 from the pictures and part number.
