I recently received a 12fet sinewave controller and programming:
https://www.electricrt.com/collections/controllers-1/products/e-r-t-3000w-sinewave-controller

When attempting to send settings to the controller, I get a constant "waiting on controller ready" message. The programming cable/adapter has no button to press as requested by the software. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Controller probably does not use Infineon chip (AFAICR that was only popular a long time ago), so be sure to use the right software for it (the USB-serial stuff is mostly the same, but not all are wired the same, so you have to check that you're using the right one for that too, and that it's drivers/etc are installed correctly, and that you've got the right com port selected in teh software).

Other than those things, what does the vendor say about the problem?

I'm using the software they linked to. They recommend unplugging the usb adapter and plugging it back in and hitting "apply"

If it still doesn't work when doing what they suggest, if all other specifics of what must be done for programming that specific unit are already met, then you might want to verify that the drivers for the USB-serial are working, and that the usb-serial itself is working.

Some of the results below show how to make a loopback test

I had the same thing going on with mt controller
after you do the edit hit save
it will take you back to the motor list un plug the battery
hook up the cable select your profile and hit apply
this will happen in a ms
My com on my computer is com 3
the down loaded USB driver was not getting it
so I let windows find the right one for it and it did
cheers
