I just purchased a Crystalyte CT3625S controller with a Crystalyte DD motor (model unknown). Can I use my 52V batteries with it?

Thanks!

Generally those controllers are labelled for their voltage and current ratings, so that would be a 36V 25A controller.

Youd have to open it up to check if the voltage ratings on the parts inside (FETs, capacitors, etc) are able to handle the much higher voltage of a fully charged 52v pack, which will be close to 60v.

Its possible it could work, and if you don't want to open it up you can just test it, but it might just smoke if the parts arent rated for it.
