cheap brushed controllers advice

I'm wondering if I can use something like this power a brushed e scooter motor?

If it is possible im also wondering if I can simply replace the potentiometer with a hall effect throttle?

And lastly would it possible to run two of these controllers in parallel to one motor but using one pot/hall throttle to control both controllers?


Any advice or other cheap suggestions would be great thanks!
 
Why would you want to use that instead of something suited to the job? There will be something more to putting a throttle on there, probably you would wire it up to the potentiometer. Don't expect people here to know much of anything about that device.

Because it is cheap and supposedly handles 3000w, if someone could suggest another similarly cheap brushed controller that would be really helpful but the most I have found is 1000w

The specs look like an electric golf cart, or a small electric forklift (a walk-behind).

Don't try running two controllers in parallel, they will fight each other, even though the motors are brushed (it's been tried...several different builders).

The price is tempting, but there have been plenty of times when me or a friend bought something that was "too cheap to pass up", and it was a total waste.

If you can afford to blow one or two up, go for it...experimenting is fun. If you have a 6000W job that needs to be done, find an existing brand and model that actually works.
