I have a long wheel base recumbent (Ryan Vanguard). It is currently powered by a 500w cyclone middrive (36v, 20A). I would like to add a front motor, presumably a DD, to do three things: 1. Provide top end speed (up to 40mph in a 20" wheel 2. Provide mild (for safety) regeneration/ebraking 3. With its weight, make the bike's steering less nimble, more rock solid for straight lines at high speed.

I run all my ebikes at 52V or 36V, not eager to switch or reconfigure.
