Hi, I'm sorry if this thread already exist.

I have a no name chineese standard looking e bike controller rated at 48v - 30a bought from ebay with a hub kit.
I dont have any information except it is labeled ZHZ1000w, googling for datasheets or any info did not give any results.
I tried to wire it without hall connections to the motor but it does not spin so i am wondering if i could make this thing to work sensorless and how, because my halls keep dying, I already replaced 2 of them.
Do i have to jump some wires or make some hardware or firmware modifications?

Thanks.

Universal Controllers (Sensored and Sensorless) just need to have the Hall connector unplugged in order to switch to Sensorless mode.
If your Controller can't do that out of the Box, then it's not a universal Controller.

You can check Aliexpress for Sensorless or universal Controllers:
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=AS_20180918032559&SearchText=48v+sensorless+controller

Just find a 48V Controller with about 30A and a documentation of what all the connectors do on the Controller.

Thanks for the info, i am already looking to buy one that can run both sensored and sensorless but i dont know will it be compatible with my ebike LCD, are there some standards?

Plus, I still want to find a way to run my original controller sensorlessly, anyone know a way to acomplish that?

Edit: also I am wondering if it is possible to change low voltage cutoff of the controller?
