Hey guys,

it happended that i came across mentioned controller company. I thought it would be of iterest here as these controllers have outstanding features like FOC with direct torque control, MTPA (maximum torque per amp) control and zero-RPM sensorless control.
MTPA under field weakening would be useful for IPM motors which can produce reluctance torque.

They are available in three different sizes (impressiv small) and cover a power range of 2kW - 20kW nomninal and almost twice the peak power.
The voltage range is 12s - 20s LiIon.

Hmm the SC and SL Controllers are interesting since they go up to 24S Lipo according to the datasheet.

I remember him posting about his Controller Company on here a few years ago. It used to be called PearControl

Looks like they could be great controllers just simply on size.....they have many, many features as a bonus. BMS coming soon it says.

Need someone to come out with a full controller/display/BMS package......again.

Yes it seems like the company was split or is from pear control.

Those are the specs of the smallest size, the AM controller:

51A/100A or 2200W/4300W with 12s (51V) battery
60min/10sec rating if mounted to a heat sink

size: approx 100x35x13mm :D

Let's hope that they sell to private persons with included program software and everything needed like documentiation of wiring. And hopefully then programming goes easy from hands.
 
The big 24.5kW version would be good for a Sur-ron. I wonder if it is a headache to program like an ASI or Sevcon.
 
I asked them, they don't sell to individuals yet.
The numbers look impressive, but I'm wondering how they are built inside and the switching waveforms. From the size, they probably use SMD FETs, maybe HSOF or DirectFET
Recently I started to work on test boards with HSOF and it is absolutely not easy to make a good half-bridge layout with them. To make use of the low package inductance and high switching speed, ideally it would be on a 2-layer insulated metal substrate, any other solution seems to be more or less compromised.
 
Group buy maybe? I live like a 2 hour drive away. I believe its a similar distance for madin88, maybe we both could take some time to go visit :)

They gave me a quote of 508USD + extra charges for a single AM controller. I was pretty shocked because I don’t really have that in my budget. Can’t decide what to do as of now.
 
I only mean that there was a thread already about these controllers, I had not seen it before. You replied in it, so you must have found it. I just thougt it could be interesting to have a link to it here. It was from 2015-2016 :shock: , they were apparently almost ready to be sold to the public back then..

Not cheap concidering that you would get only a single 12s 50/100A controller without display.

Does anyone have seen the Mrazek e-bike?
Because it looks like it is powered by a Silixcon SC controller which would be plausible as they are also located in Czech:

Has anyone experience or information with how the Controller handles a Cadence sensor for pedal assist?

In particular, does the controller offer specific programming that can reduce the limitations of a cadence sensor, such as delayed start, or abrupt delivery of the full assist level power when the sensor kicks in?
