Wholesale 18650 cells (NEW) for UK/EU

Post by 18650.UK » Jun 10 2019 4:37am

Hello ES!

I was directed here by a member who has been purchasing cells for a while and suggested that we might perhaps be able to help those in the EU/UK find what they need, just as quickly and economically.

18650UK are a wholesale cylindrical cell supplier, primarily working in the EV prototyping (major/domestic vehicle manufacturers), Motorsport, military and Aerospace markets. Over the last 12 months, we've seen our supply to the end user/DIY market sky rocket and I'm keen to continue this upward trend by assisting as many people as we can.

We specialise in the fast and cost effective supply of almost all currently in production 18650 cells.

If there's something you're looking for, drop an email to wholesale@18650.uk and we'll either come straight back to you with a cost and lead time, or set you up with wholesale access to the website.

:)

Ben

Nice site Ben :thumb: great to see UK 18650 access. Nkon site postage is a killer as you probably know.

What's your wholesale discount % and postage cost for UK mainland?..

Thanks.

Nkon has a flat rate of postage of around £12.00 which is pretty good if buying 200 cells

Hi mxer,

Apologies for the delayed reply, manic few days.

There is no set/fixed quantity discount from the retail price for wholesale. In fact, its the other way around. The wholesale/purchase price sets the retail.

On wholesale, we operate on a fixed margin basis, making a fixed percentage (and its quite small) on top of cells based on quantities of 50+,100+1000+, 1 Pallet+, etc. It means the price changes based on global cell prices, but also means that if the price we pay drops or we in any way get a better deal, the price we pay is fed into the back end, and it spits out new, lower wholesale prices. This way i can work to make sure everyone always gets the best deal we can offer at the time they order.

Im more than happy to either provide quotes on a case by case basis via PM, via email to wholesale@18650.uk or set people up with access to the wholesale website where you can see all prices for all available cells.

Whichever works for you :)

Ben

From us? If so, are you sure you're not looking at our retail website? (www.18650.uk is a retail website. Our wholesale website is at www.18650.uk/wholesale and requires a validated account for access)

I have a very good working and business relationship with Arjan at Nkon and know almost all of his prices and we certainly dont have any that are 70% above his!

samsung 30Q is 5€ each cell in your shop.
nkon 3€ (if you mean better prices for buying more, why you dont post it here?
all you made is a advertisement to possible customers. (btw: against the market rules...did you read them? ;P)

it is your website. of course i have no wholeseller login but what is a wholeseller for you? buying 2-5000 cells? if yes, i wonder why you are posting this on a DIY forum.

if you have good prices in a range DIY guys buying like 200/300 cells would be nice you post something here and how we can be sure that these cells are not fakes. (...there are some well known sites to buy original cells most ppl know and for EU i never heard about 18650.uk)

or: why we should buy from you and not from nkon when your price is same or more expensive and no one knows you? =)
(honest question)

The Samsung 30Q actually starts €2.99 via the wholesale platform. You'll likely find that most of our prices are comparable to Nkon. As i said above, i have a very good working relationship with Arjan so im quote upto to date on his prices.

While we prefer to deal in complete box or pallet quantity, our wholesale MOQ is 20 cells. We lowered it to this to make sure that our service is accessible to everyone from our main client base (EV prototyping, motorsport, military applications etc) all the way down to individual DIY builders. I dont think a company's MOQ should reflect their position or ability to service a market... On Monday i personally delivered 2 pallets of cells to a racing team im working with to build a new car. This morning, our retail arm is shipping single cells to individual customers. The size of the order doesn't matter to us. Its about keeping the customer happy, whatever their need.

With regard to counterfeit cells - Being in the EV market allows us to buy directly from manufacturers or their 1st line distributors. We also order tens of thousands of cells each week from Nkon and have done for around 4 years. This enables us to get bottom teir pricing and pass the cells on to our clients in the UK at the same or slightly less cost but with the added bonus of getting them the next working day. This works well for those in a rush, prefer to deal with a UK based business if they are in the UK, or want an extra layer of security. We have never received a counterfeit cell from our current supply base.

Regardless of the validity of our trusted suppliers, cells are still batch tested and QC checked on entry and are not cleared for sale until they have passed. We also carry out a lot of 3rd party testing for other businesses. In fact, you can see the testing i carried out on the new Efest cells for the vaping industry that i posted yesterday here - https://18650.uk/efest-has-anything-changed/

I completely appreciate your points, but if you take a look at the facebook page and online media, you'll see we've been around for several years and have a a very good following with impeccable history of top quality products and customer service. Just because you haven't heard about us, doesn't mean we're not good at what we do (honest points ;) )

And very reasonable p&p for small amounts (~10) of cells. Just a few € for shipping inside Europe.

Yes you did! And to be fair there are some good deals. I don't suppose you've ever considered selling nickel strips, insulation tabs, shrink wrap etc?

I have. They're on the list of things i really do need to add. Its a natural progression that when people start finding us looking for cells for projects, they often need sundries along with them.

The only reason we havent always supplied them is that the vast majority of our clients are pack manufacturing businesses buying 1000+ or pallet loads of cells and often have their pack materials custom made and so its rarely been a requirement.

Ill make it a priority and get some new product listings made. If anyone wants to throw in some suggestions on the most commonly used widths and thicknesses of nickel used in the DIY market, that might help me better serve you all :)

Most people use 0.15mm nickel for spot welding. I like 25mm width. There are of course many other configs.
Insulation paper for positive cell end is a must.
I like to give each cell an extra wrap of heat shrink... So single cell heat shrink would be good.

There are other sundries needed when building of course.

I personally also use 0.15 although not quite as wide, normally 20mm max. Im sitting on several thousand 18650 adhesive insulators which is fine for me but will of course probably need to start ordering them in 10's of thousands for stock - no problem there.

that theres a need you can see anytime on nkon.
they are out of stock 1 or 2 days later after restock.

- single cell heatshrink
- 18650 paper insulation sheets
- 20700/21700 paper insulation sheets (nkon has not yet)
- 26650 paper insulation sheets
- 18650 cell holders
- 26650 cell holders
- 0.2 x 10mm nickel (1kg)
- 0.2 x 25mm nickel (meters)
- Kapton 50mm / 25mm / 10mm (50m)

i dont know why but thats my experience the last years so i had no choice making my own stock and order that shit from china direct and wait the weeks needed. running out of stuff on building sucks.
would be really cool if theres a EU (or UK lol) seller who have that stuff anytime in stock.

Today ive shipped a few more orders to forum members.

I have to say, they've been some of the best DIY customers we've had and its been great getting an understanding of the types of projects people are working on.

As always, if anyone needs anything else, drop me a PM or email wholesale@18650.uk (i reply much faster there because its always open on one of my screens!)
