I got ill by e-bike one year ago. But I did not have any experience about it. I found a friend on our russian e-bike forum http://www.electrotransport.ru
. His name is Denis and he is from Ekaterinburg city. He gave me a lot of information I was needed and also he said if I want the best, reliable and no issue controller I shoud buy it from Mr. Lyen.
I did it and finished my e-bike last December only. It took me to long because I soldered 96 a123 cells together with 10awg cable so it was very hardworking for me
Instead of a lot of pleasure from riding I got a lot of troublles ...
I had negative experience with the controller is selling in this topic and relation (support) the seller to me.
So here is my history and contacting with the seller.

Dear Mr. Lyen,
Sorry no time to answer you earlier.
I used info from your sticker on my controller to set Rshunt in CA. It is 2.000 mOhm.
Then I connected wires according your advice and started my motor. No load current was about 10А instead 4-5А as you said.
I write you about it and went to our Russian forum to ask everybody why I have so big no load current. There I got info that my actual wires combo is wrong and I must find a combo with 4-5A no load current!
I spent ONE day in changing 36 wires combos and got that only your combo is right working.
But there was 10A no load current with this combo!
My friends and I were confused about it and tried to use ampermeter to measure no load current and we got 4.5A with it.
Then I saw that your sticker is wrong and Rshunt-2 mOhm is not right value for CA. I set Rshunt 4 mOhm and CA gave me right no load current 4-5A!
I lost one day for it!!! And spoiled some nerves.
Then I went to test my e-bike with the controller’s firmware installed by you.
My bike did not want to ride! No dynamics, max speed 35 kmph took to much time to get it. 15А max current and 450Wt max power in pick of load. No uphill was possible.
I was disappointed at all!
I went to our forum and started to ask everybody – WHY ???? on 8TMAC motor with Lyen Edition 9FET controller and 58V battery I was slower than usual bike.
I got advice to update controller’s firmware with 30/60А currents and of course with EB312 profile. I did it. But no difference was got! Very slow bike.
New update with 40/70А currents and as you said in your sticker with EB312… just a bit faster but again slow in common! Than 50/70A and EB312 than 60/70A and EB312.
There was rain outside all day and I have too much “fun” with update controller firmware and testing and lifting 32 kg bike to 6 floor.
With last update my e-bike started to ride really good.
I put my experience on our forum and get info that my real Rshunt value should be 4mOhm not 2 mOhm! And when I set 60A current in your program it is 30А for the controller.
So EB312 profile does not match my LY Edition 9FET controller.
Next day I update controller’s firmware with EB309 profile and 30/60A current.
It was just I want – e-bike was very fast – max current 32A and speed 47 kmph and power 1500-1800 Wt.
My underline is:
You confused me with wrong info on your sticker
You sold me not upgraded controller (it is usual 9FET controller with real Rshunt=4 mOhm which need EB309 profile to work properly. As I understood you did not soldered one extra shunt)
You got too much money for your «upgraded» controller
I lost 4 days of my life to make it clear why my bike does not ride and no-load current was to high with correct wires combo. (It was holidays in Russia)
You did not support me in that period.
And main questions
Why I had to do all that things I listed above instead just“plug and play” connection controller which costed me about 100$ ???

I apologize for the confusion. Usually the shunt would not be added unless the customer have special request. But I admit that the fault is on our side because of the incorrect shunt information. If you would like, what I can do is to send you a shunt for you to solder on the controller board free of charge. The other thing I can do would be to offer you 30% discount for your next order. Just let me know.

I do not know what was wrong - not right sticker or not right shunt I spent TOO MUCH time on "plug and play" your controller!
I am usual e-bike user and not qualified anought to sold new shunt on the board so I would like to get compensation for inconveniences you caused to me. You are ready to give me 30% discount for my next order ? I think it is good you send these money to me via paypal. It is 30$ USA.
Also please inform me what is right Rshunt value for my existing shunt ?
What maximum currents (rated and phase) I can safely use in your controller?
And final very short answer I got
"I'm sorry but there is no refund."
I do not want to get 30$ at the moment but I want to inform members of this forum about poor tech support and seller's relation to prepare items for selling.
Also there some of negative experience was getting by others russian buyers but they could not speak English well and put their info here.
Everybody can be mistaken but why bayer have to fix seller's issue by them self?
