This is a good example of the noise the drives make. I cant really say if one motor is quieter then another but the sample is with a 63-74 and is the motor I recommend for the drive. Its not quiet like a hub motor but its not intrusive either. People dont realize I am there until I am right next to them.

OK, I've found a kit and am wondering how those who tried it feel looking back at the experience.
Sorting out and searching options on ES is quite difficult but enjoyable. I keep getting side tracked.
This may be my intro to lipo.

Seems dead with Kepler's focus on the BBS0x. Sadly in my view since this is the most promising of the design I have found. I may be working on a MK1 version this winter. But the MK3 is very impressive in my view. The only drive as nice is a kickstarted version for $2000. Bummer!

Tom, could you say why you didn't use it and the differences between the Mk 1 and later? versions? Also, is kepler still making these? I have been trying to get one for 9 months...

There has been quite a change since the original Mk 1. If you want a drive that attaches to the seatpost, the Mk 1 is a good option. The latest design is a bottom bracket mount. Go to this thread for more info https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... 93ac8ebc74

I haven't built any drives for about 9 months as other commitments have got in the way. Good news is that I have continued to use the current design drive on a daily basis over this time and it has served me well. With the many thousands of kms covered with the drive, even further refinement on the design has been made. Stay tuned on the main sales thread. Updates coming very soon.

Only because i have to many other projects. I still believe Kepler has come up with the best designs. Each has its place. Turns out mk1 is best suited to the conversion i wanted but i ve moved on an$ am converting three BBSxx bikes to MAC. It took nearly 3 years to find a MK1 to fit the intended bike...and then other projects won over. It like all of keplers builds is nicely made.
