It bleeds only the cells down to your voltage you like.
Not really balancing cells out.

If you setup your bms to 4.15 it will bleed down all cells to 4.15
If one or more has less then 4.15, it will not be "affected" of "balancing"
Hey merlin, I have an EIG 20s 20AH battery from NYX. My cell #9 is at 4.15 and eveything else is at 4.0. I cant get the BMS to give me that juicy last 1.0volt. What can I do?
I'd try bleading down to just below 4.0 and then very slowly charge back up to 4.15.

Hello guys, long time no speak, so I have been waiting patiently for an adaptto release or max-e for sale and I am starting to think these guys are not in business. Does anyone know anything? I don't know how much more to wait. I am about to bite the bullet and go a different route, what do you guys suggest as far as controllers if no adaptto? Shooting for 22s14p pack and QS205V3 motor combo but haven't soldered it waiting for a controller decision.

I hear you man...so difficult to get an easily accessible, great quality high performance controllers now. I tried mobipus controller but seems like they now only do oem now, and won't be available anymore. Sabvoton has released a 36 mosfet 72200 controller but it won't have the advanced features that adaptto has and it's huge as well.

I did hear that Adaptto is planning to release a new controller so let's see how it goes...

I believe Allex has good relations with Adaptto and goes on the Russian forums also. Maybe Allex knows something?

Allex also released the specs of the new adaptto controller a month or so ago.

Since Adaptto fell down, I use :
- Phaserunner controller for small power , 3000w max .
- Power Velocity controller for mid and big power, 4000/12000w .
With or without hall sensor .

- with CA 3 display and parts

- with Besteck Power or Supower Battery for BMS .

I used 4 Adaptto Max-E kit up to today without crash .

I have one Max-E in stock .
I don't know if I keep it for repair parts or for a last ebike .

Speaking of which...does anyone know how many mosfets midi-e has?

From what I've read (not completely sure):

Mini-e = 6 mosfets
Midi-e = 9 mosfets?
Max-e = 18 mosfets

Many thanks!

With the coming dashboard app and new bluetooth model the PV controllers become more and more attractive.
Only thing which they don't have (at the moment) is true troque throttle (FOC ??) and variable regen, but lets see what the future brings.

the midi has 12F

Man this adaptto is sort of hit and miss, some people it works others don't, I really hope they increase the success rate some how with the next iteration because having an ebike you setup as an adaptto machine and having the controller not work is a real pain in the ass

I have a feeling they are no longer in business, this is how I see it: Nobody has had them in stock for about a year, new release not much announced, how can a company stay afloat not selling product for that long? Something is wrong!!!!

OK, so guys if you were at this point what would you get:

Qulbix Q76 frame (Ready)
QS205V350H 4T winding on 18" wheel (Ready)
I have 308 Sony VTC5's, (still havent welded the pack) Should I go 20s16p or 22s14p I am thinking 20s as there is so much in the lighting 72v to 12v conversion stuff available.

BMS I am thinking this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-sh ... 80346.html
300amp version to have room for future. (if you have a better option please share)

I guess I have to go to Cycle Analyst 3.0 unless you guys know of some cool color display out there I know some others have them.

Controller: SavotonSMV72200 or SMV72150 or:
http://powervelocity.com/index.php?id_p ... er=product
( I am leaning towards powervelocity so I can use my iphone and not have to switch to android.

Ready to move forward based on your guys opinions SIGH! I cannot wait any longer for Adaptto I want to ride!!!!!

I have now seen a few of those Sabvotons (72150) running Qs205s and they seem to be a perfect match. Easy to tune and motors running cool. They are also the ones recommended by QS motor. I'm having a hard time tuning / setting up the Qs205s with Adaptto. I believe the Adapttos are the more sophisticated controller provided that you can tune/set them up correctly...if I still can't tune them properly in the next 2 weeks or so I will switch to Sabvotons.

As for the battery pack, 72v (20s) is the more common setup and if you decide to sell them in the future or kust change system for whatever reason, you will have an easier time (just my opinion)

I appreciate that, good to know and Sabvoton has been around a while so it might be the way to go. In the future might consider the QS273 so migh get the 200a version Sabvoton

I sure hope not, these controllers are awesome and I have spent over a year tuning a MAX E and now know it fairly well.

Horrorlv can you elaborate, not asking for confidential information just a simple "I know for a fact they are still in business and WILL be releasing new product"

Guys, any thoughts on the BMS link I posted? Do you guys know a better deal? Any help is appreciated. I can always go with this setup and sell it if Adaptto releases something extravagant lol

I have a simillar set-up to the one you are proposing on my NYX. 22s 18P of samsung 30Q's. New (i think i am the first) sabvoton 72200 (36 fett) vs the old 72150 (24 fett) controler. Capable of 200 bat amps/ 450 phase amps. All in a water proofed housing. This combo should be aroud 16kw's. I am running a smart bms with the p- bypassed so its just there for cell balancing and charge. Everything has a blu tooth dongle and can be adjusted/ monitored straight from my phone. Also wiring in a ca3.

Wow, that is some battery pack! I find it interesting that you have a NYX with that setup but you seem more proud with the Qulbix, MAX, QS205 do you like the Qulbix more?

What battery pack do you have on the Qulbix?

Not really. The nyx is my latest build and have not updated the build thread yet -life has been hectic lately. Nyx should be done in a few weeks

nyx 22s18p ...trust me ,its worth all the trouble 8). with ovs and pwr turned up a bit -holy crap!

please send me a link to your smart bms, and let me know what you think the sabvoton 36f 200A controller has over the ~eqivalent kelly, qskls7245h, and why you prefer it, (even though you may not have used it yet?)

im doing an order for a mate , and am currently looking at these controller options from qs.
is the sabvoton smoother than the kelly do you think?

Hey, That BMS looks pretty good to me. It looks like the ones these dudes use https://www.facebook.com/CyklonEbike/

I follow their instagram and they are always punching out bikes and gear. So if they use it, id say its a good buy. In fact i think ill get one soon for one of my builds...

I just ordered one of these from aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/14S-60A ... 33108.html
for some lower power betas i have in the works..

I hope it goes aright, I think its worth spending an extra 30 bucks to be able to see battery values and be able to configure it all on a phone display.
But yes I have a Max-e on my alpha and have it pretty well tuned most of the time. Its certainly a great plug-n play unit that you can configure on the at the press of a button.

These other options we cobble together may be a bit cheaper than an adaptto, but not by much, so adaptto makes a solid choice in my book. (would love to hear more about their direction and new products too.)

Just wait till it dies... and you are left high and dry by their support. I have gone through more adaptto maxe's than tyres on my q76r

Ouch!!! I hadn't thought of that. So I take it they are not even responding to repairs or anything. Holy Crap! So if your adaptto breaks at this point you are SOL?

This reminds me why I am leaning towards the Sabvoton vs the PV which works with iphone. I feel if something happens with it I have more options on knowledge from users and from future repair and compatibility.

It is unfortunate that there is still no good news about Adaptto. Their system is pretty amazing, especially how integrated it is. I've heard some of the retailers (Vector and Envolt) will provide what tech support they can. Also, the ES forum can help with some stuff.

I have a Midi-E (+bms and 70A coil) sitting mounted on a bike, never got a battery pack put it in though, so its unused, so I'm thinking of selling that Midi-E setup. If anyone is interested.
