Is it possible to bms charge with a standard 36v lithium battery charger? I already have.
Or can I buy a 72v from cellman and plug it right in?

Sorry guys for wrong info. I meant End of June. I will check with them tomorrow.
No throttles with variable regen, unless you build one :)

Newly updated Manual(in russian):
http://adaptto.ru/_manual.pdf
You could try to translate it to English using google, page by page.

Anyway if your are anxious about orders, just give them a call.

looks better now thanks, though its tricky going through a technical document that's been auto translated. the russian-english that results has me scratching my head in some areas. better than nothing anyway, hopefully they will release a proper english manual soon.

Ok some new info,
Max and charge coils will probably be out next week, they are testing the units now.
Mini will be in stock in two weeks.

Demand is very high so they will be sold out rather quickly again!

Try to contact them again next week.
There is actually a waiting line for them now du to popularity. They gather all emails and details about you and will respond as soon they have something to give you
It was difficult to get an answear from them as they did not have any in stock.

It would be miiiiiiles better if they could just give you a courtesy email saying when they are expecting more stock and where you are in the list. I ordered my cromotor and they said they were out of stock and would be back in on X date, so I was like, ok no problem, but with the controller they just seem to ignore the emails, which probably causes more problems as people just email and email trying to get a reply, or ask them for one, so they are put onto the 'waiting list' and then in the mean time get fed up and buy a different controller as they think they are not replying. Just my 5 cents.....

Greetings, my fellow enthusiasts.

This is my first post on this forum. I would like to share my past and ongoing experience with Adaptto as a service to both them and potential customers.

The following is my opinion, based on my own experience as a small business owner building specialty niche products. I believe you will increase your potential for a successful experience if you take into consideration the following.

These guys have likely completely over extended themselves in a good way. They have spent years and more money than you can imagine developing what looks to be a fantastic product line, and actually put it in the hands of the customer. This is a considerable feat.
They are a startup. All their money and time is going into the actual products. There isn't much if anything left over for infrastructure, like a dedicated technical support specialist etc. My guess is that they have not made a profit yet.

So, I feel it is unreasonable to expect top notch customer service from Adaptto at this stage in the companies development. What I do expect is a really good product, when it arrives.

End opinion.

Firstly, I did as much independent research before contacting Adaptto, including downloading the manuals and visiting the Russian forums, as well as scouring ES for info. I gathered as much information as possible on my own before contacting them.

I decided what I wanted to buy first. One complete MINI-E with BMS and charging coil and two complete MAX-E with BMS and charging coil.
This is how I conversed with Svyatoslav.

1) I contacted him at the sales@adaptto.ru address, indicating that I wished to purchase their products, asked a few well researched technical questions, inquired about price and availability. He responded within a couple of days with detailed information.

2) I placed my order, and asked for a invoice. Svyatoslav responded within a day or so with the invoice, and asked when I would be wiring my payment. The invoice included all wire transfer instructions.

3) I emailed him with my schedule for payment. I actually missed my timeline due to banking regulations, but Svyatoslav responded immediately after receiving my payment. He shipped my order by Russian Post the following day (6/06/14) and sent me the tracking info. The tracking is legit, and the weight shows 6.5KG, about right for my order.

Currently my order is stuck in Russia, and based on my research, I expect that will continue for some time. Google "Russia Post delays", and you will find endless commentary on how messed up the Russian postal system is. This is not the fault of Adaptto. Using EMS is no better because EMS goes through Russia Post.
If more than a month goes by, I will contact them and ask for some assistance finding my shipment. Until then, everything's cool.

So, I would suggest that potential customers help themselves and Adaptto by doing the following:

1) Be respectful of their time. Do as much independent research as possible. Requests for information that is widely available elsewhere just ties up the companies resources, slowing responses to everyone.
2) Make your intentions known. If you are serious about purchasing their products, let them know. However, don't be a tire kicker. Don't lead them on by asking for tons of info, request an invoice, then fail to follow through. Actions like this will likely get you moved to "Ignore" status.
3) While we all want a good deal, think twice before asking for a discount. This tends to put off the vendor, especially when they are probably not making any money yet.
4) Don't vacillate. If you really want the stuff, and they have it in stock, pull the trigger. Place your order. Of course, there is risk. But as the saying goes, no risk, no reward.
5) Be patient. By all indications, your order should arrive. I have found no instances of anyone not receiving their products.

So far I consider my interaction with Adaptto a success, even though I have not yet received my order. Wish me luck

I will post updates and photos of what I receive.

I have contacted them 1,5 weeks ago for an inquiry and some short questions for a mini-e, BMS and charging coil. Haven't heard something yet, but I hope to recieve an answer soon so I can order and pay the goods :)

I have a friend who is regularly travelling to Moscow, I might ask him to pick up my goods or get them shipped to his Moscow address and take them to Holland.. This way i can also avoid taxes i guess :)

I pestered them a lot lol, and sent them messages on here too, but I asked them to send me an invoice as I wanted to pay, so I think they either prioritise by how serious you appear to be on buying one and by the looks of things and also when they get more manufacturered.

I started off by sending them a message in Russian and most emails were in Russian, but they speak English too. I asked for prices and info on the max-e etc. They sent that, I then picked what I wanted and sent them that, they then email back asking for my address, then it went quiet for a week or two. Then after more emails and stuff asking if I could order I randomly got an invoice, so paid that ASAP within a couple if hours of getting it as to not mess them around, so just gotta wait now, I know it's going to take a month it so as Russian post is a bit slow, but least I know it's sorted now.

I got my invoice and wired funds on Friday.

The intermediary bank was in Vienna, Austria and then funds go on to the bank in Russia. My bank (Wells Fargo) says it could take 4 to 5 days. For those of you that wired your funds, how long until you got a confirmation from Adaptto?

Did you have the option to pay in euros ?, there was a bank info for euro on the invoice, but I thought it would be simpler paying in usd as the invoice was in usd they sent me, so didn't want to make a balls up of the conversion and send them too little.
