Just watched your video, you are a good dude Artur. Standing behind shipment issue when it wasn't your fault speaks huge volumes about Vector. I applaud that. BTW, I am glad we all speak English, if I had to "spreken ze deutsch" I would be fuxd.Artur wrote:

IVE had blue 18650 cells fail in led torches after less than 50 cycles. ALso i had two 26650 orange cells fail after 1 cycle on a 8.4v led bike light battery pack. im not sure if this was due to the lack low voltage cut off protection on the pcb but they can sometimes fail after very few cycles. lifepo4 may have better luckcircuit wrote:Did you ever see a failed 18650? What do you mean "blue", "orange" cells? Do they have brand? You can't trust non brand cells..

Yeah, we are talking about real brand name 18650 cells, not some random chinese crap.
Re: Vector e-bike Frame 625$ /MAX-E/FORK/SHOCK/MOTOR/BATTERY
Hi guys,
sadly i must say i was not pleased with the support of Artur, but good to know that there are others who had more luck..
The first case was the problem with one frame that turned out to have a poorly welded swingarm and its pivot point, resulting in a rear wheel that was twisted and far off its line. It was noticeable when just looking to the bike. Also the damper mounting was out of true because this.
When i contacted Artur about the problem he played dumb (on purpose i believe) and said i have measured it wrong and should look if i have assembled it right. well, what could i have done wrong when a bolt needs to be put into a hole?
I did not count the hours i spent taking photos and writing messages to make him clear that there IS a problem (other owners had this too). It was really annoying how he treated this case. Due to the fact that i have had cut a hole on bottom of frame before i noticed this, it was out of warranty but i could understand that. That was not the problem. What i was trying to get was something like an excuse for the circumstances i had, but NOTHING. Only fighting and discussioning without confess of that problem and blaming me that i have assembled it wrong and saying things like it is no problem if the damper is out of true..
The second case was few days ago when i ordered a set of side covers together with damper and kickstands. The parcel was way to small for the covers and the damper and kickstands just lying onto them. I could see the edges of the covers from outside the box and they got bent a lot. I contacted Artur and first there was big mistrust from him. He asked for photos where i should put the covers into the box that he can see that it really was too small. One pic was not enough so he asked for another one. Okey, i did so. After i sent him the pics he said i should sent the covers back and he will replace them.
part of the discussion:
Also in this case NO confession of the fault or a "sorry for the troubles"..
Is this how a seller should treat his customers?
have attached pics of the box. i would never come to the idea to squeeze the sidecovers in there with heavy damper and kickstand just lying on top of them. guys, would you?
for me it was a clear case of warranty where the seller needs to come up for shipping costs, but for Artur it was not.

Artur did straight them out and contacted me he will sent the straighted parts back to me. That was not what i have expected, but i agreed he can do so and asked if i can get back the costs for the return shipping (7 euro). After this he started again to discuss. He said i need to come up for the return costs and blamed me why i have not straighten the covers out myself.Artur wrote:Dear Martin,madin88 wrote:Okey i will do.

We don't have yellow covers in stock, we will order them for you.
Could you please tell us how much will be shipping of that bent part before sending it? If it will be something like 10EUR, you can send them to us and we will send you new parts without that shipping of broken parts.
Best regards,
Olga from Vector team.

Re: Vector e-bike Frame 625$ /MAX-E/FORK/SHOCK/MOTOR/BATTERY
Well I think everyone makes mistakes. From my side to the one who have packed this package (It doesn't have to be Artur self, maybe one of ukraine, I dont know..) : You can take such cheap cheap plastic bubbles (I don´t know how they are are called in english), which protect the things for Transport really good. For shure the package was so small to get cheaper shipping costs but in my mind that´s the wrong way to save up money. You have to remember that "Vector" is a reeeeally young business and they also make mistakes. And to look on my side now for example: I do just learn when Im doing something wrong so for shure next time they will make better support / service. Nobody is perfect. Also no Company.
A personal statement from my side to your poste: Thank you for this. Because to get better, a Company always have to communicate with their community. Also the community have to communicate with the Company. Because if we don´t talk to each other, we can't improve ourselves.
I am shure that this was the last time something like this happens. Anyway "Vector" (in my oppinion) is a business which always wants to improve it self. There are enough businesses which give a sh*t about the oppinion of the costumers.
-Have a great day, Elias

Re: Vector e-bike Frame 625$ /MAX-E/FORK/SHOCK/MOTOR/BATTERY
The problem was not the lack of styro fluffs (i think you have talked about this stuff), the box was just plain to small for the covers. If you close it, the covers will bend or one of the edges get pushed through the cardbord.
It definitely was not because of keeping shipping costs low because a parcel with this size cost 6,99€ inside germany and it could have been much larger at the same price. I have paid 10USD which was ok.
I would not have made it public in community if Artur would have treated this case as everyone would normally expect. Instead he boasted that he have straighten them out in less than 30 sec and spoke bad about me because i can build ebike but cannot fix such things..
Yes i probably could have straighten them out with success, but i was not sure if the paint may get porous due to the bending or if it still could be visible when installed on the bike. And because i ran out of warranty that time when i have cut the hole in the white frame, i decided this time to leave it untouched.
A return shipping for such repair? no way and he told me he will replace them what is a total different thing.
The point that makes me most annoyed are the endless discussions that feel like talking with a wall and NO "sorry for the circumstances" or something like that and no admission of the problem.
Artur than started a discussion about 7 euro shipping costs i have asked for (in a case clear as a day) and this is nothing but a**hole behaviour -no care of customer.

Artur,
Any specs on the Typhoon V2.0? I am curious about the motor and battery on this beast. Also what is the fastest speed and if it will fit someone smaller in size.

Does anyone know if the Typhoone v2. and all the other version will have QS Motors? Or still Crystalyte motors? I think the 4080 is getting too fast damage... Isn´t it?
Anyone here with a QS Motor on his bike?

Cool! Enjoy Moscow! Is the new Adaptto part the 14kw controller or something different? If the 14KW controller, you don't need to be secretive about that as it has already been discussed here on ES and at Interbike. Is it something different?

Re: Vector e-bike Frame 625$ /MAX-E/FORK/SHOCK/MOTOR/BATTERY
Is there any chance of alternative materials (i.e. aluminium) being used?
I realise you are still designing/prototyping them, but I will hold off buying a flux frame if it's going to be in the next couple of months and/or cheaper or lighter. I really want a commuting frame similar to the beta, but would be more ideal if it's aluminium rather than steel. HPC and NYX are really the only two using carbon fibre and aluminium for the basis of the frame (not just side covers) but both are the same large battery box design and both are pretty pricey.
Welcome to PM me info if you can (obviously not if it's commercially sensitive) as I would be happy to be a test dummy/early adopter if you need one.

Re: Vector e-bike Frame 625$ /MAX-E/FORK/SHOCK/MOTOR/BATTERY
@Lurkin: Generally it´s a really good idea but you have to remember that you can´t push with an aluminium frame 4kW anymore, if you ask me. Im not a pro at this, but this power, the steal-frame is now getting all the time, would be too much for one made out of aluminium...
@Artur: Finally some news
Since I have ordered my offer, Im looking at my PC like fore times a day waiting for some news or anything haha^^
(Ok to be honest.. Im doing that since I know about Vector^^)
