How do you guys deal with the 250w limit on ebike in Europe? Just hope that police would have something better to do other than to chase you down?
I've never had issues before this summer. I guess the more e-bikes are on the road, over powered and riding hard the more effort the police put into making an example, giving tickets and worst case impound the bike.

What happen to me twice was I got pulled over, first time 40 km/h, second time about 25 km/h. First time on an ever so slight downhill. I was ghost pedaling. One look at the fat pig hub and they asked about "how many kw"? I was cool but honest, and told them about 10 kw peak for a few seconds before meltdown, only for off road riding. Mentioned controller fet blow out, de magnetizing and wire melt down. Said road mode was about 500 w peak and about half nominal. They bought it and I went my way.

Second time I was ghosting too, I was pulled over because missing rear light in the dark. I said could not be and that I used LED light and if bike runs light is on. As I stepped off the bike the light was on......I had a new jacket on, 3/4 length that was actually hiding rear light. Second time they didn't ask anything about the e-bike. I've heard from other e-bikers they have been stopped the past months. I think they are trying to scare of the youngsters or something, cos I have not heard of anyone getting a ticket.

For sure, without em pedals I guess I would have been in trouble both times. 8)

@Merlin what makes you say that all 205motors are illegal? In Germany it depends on the Nenndauerleistung, not the peak power... Isnt it?

To the cop things: Im *always (!)* riding below 30kph and normally perfect 25kph. The cops are always laughing at me when they see me with my motorcycle enduro protection on, because I ride only at that speed and try to not get any further attention! The more it makes me angry when I see (sorry for my language) f*cking guys on YouTube showing of their bikes with "high power 8.000w MONSTER EBIKE" in thw title im which they are riding faster then the traffic, not wearing any protection and giving zero shit about anything  ..

This is why the law will catch up even faster with this stuff because of such idiots, grabbing more and more attention with their YouTube Videos. I have personally decided to not make any edditing or vlogging with my bike, even tho I have the potential for that, as I want to be able to ride my bike as long as possible! Take yourself an example.

How do you assemble your swingarms to your storm light frames?

It comes with a bolt/nut and two washers

you would think the two washers go on the inside but they both do not fit...and if you take them both out there is way too much play?

Where are the washers supposed to be?

Does that even matter? I mean how do you want to test continuous power on an electric motor? Is there a law or rule, that says that lets say at 300 Watts the motor must melt down or crack or something? I think the so called 250W continuous term is a quite long and undefinied term, isnt it? Thats what makes me so sure to be able to ride on the german street with no problem untill now.. (Of course^^ when it says 3kW on your motor then it´s another story^^...)

I do limit my speed to either rural pavement or off road all together. I don't ride like that in traffic.

I appreciate your efforts. Now looking at your side I see your frustrations as well. I think you have the best light frame available especially with the addition of larger dropouts. I'm sure it will be worth the wait :D
The new frame and parts were sent to you 2 days ago. I think you already have tracking number :-) Hope this Time DHL wont lost it. Cheers

Be aware with headset/tube size on the light frame, It was being advertised as "1 ⅛” or 1,5” (adjustable)" or 1.5" despite being only 1 1/8

I was burned, I had a tapered fork that I thougt I could fit, Now I need to get a new one, I don't want a heavy typhoon frame etc

I did mail back to Vector after recieving my frame and got the reply "We only have1 1\8, after New Year we might have 1.5"
" That doesn't sound very reassuring

I wonder why any manufacturer would go with 1 1/8 that is compatible with the least amount of forks compared to 1.5" that is compatible with all.

Yeah strange way to go about it. If they rather had gone for 1.5" headtube size, all people that would wanna use a 1 1/8" fork could easily do so just by using a simple reduction headtube kit to fit the smaller 1 1/8" fork. This day and age taperd head tube should be a given.

I have not seen any kit for the other way around ;) :D

we can change a frame if you want when we will have 1.5 headset type frames. what do you think about this offer?
p.s. many reason why we did 1 1/8 till now... size, weight, dimensins, headset supply, material supply...

Great news! I received the order on Saturday. The light frame looks awesome! It's pretty solid for a light frame. Inside of the frame has extra thick metal inner frame at the high stress area. It's nice that you include headset and bb. Headtube is 1-1/8" only which is ok. Paint job looks flawless in black! Dropouts with pinch bolts!! Frame assembled easily with all included hardware. Can't wait to finish the build and show it off (lookout New York lol). Thank you for replacing the order lost in shipping. I have good faith in your company and will surely do business again.
Tommy
