Shorza just so you know the 135mm version barely fits the 28-30mm stamped steel DD hub motors they make in it with 1 small washer on each inner side, it is steel so some people would just bend it for 150mm, but I wouldn't be up for the task

What motor are you using? I agree that fat bike swingarm is wayyy too wide and ridiculous for a regular hub motor LOL

How far out are they on making the 150mm they said they were in production?
I'm using a MXUS v3 150mm motor. If I had got a 135mm swingarm, I'd be ok bending each arm 8mm wider to fit this motor in. But because I got this 190mm swingarm, it's just too wide. Not to mention chain alignment issues. It just can't be done.

Sounds like the 150mm was never in production. :?

I've got the same frame and motor. My frame should be arriving next week. Hey Shorza, if you switch the pinching plates to the inside is there any threads sticking out? This is a real bummer I was really looking forward to this frame.
As it is at the moment, the is a few mm's of thread sticking out one side. Switching the torque plates around should give you just enough thread to put a nut on each side.
Tell me about it. I love this frame and had high hopes for it.

We don't have 150mm atm. I can't send you 135mm as you have custom color swingarm. I can just refund as I said in previous message.
Artur,

I am happy to take a black 135mm swingarm but it appears that the swingarm linkage of the 135mm and fatbike are a different size and therefore incompatible.

Can this frame be returned and exchanged for a 135mm version? (Can be black in colour). I really like this frame and have purchased all my extra parts with this frame in mind. It really is an unfortunate mistake that this swingarm is too wide.

If you cover shipping yes. I can not cover return shipping from au and offer one more free shipping to you. I think about solution we can make adaptors (dropout plates ) wider so you can use "150mm axle" motor without problem with fat bike swingarm, what do you think about it?

Hey Arthur,

I would also rather a 135mm swingarm in any color, are they compatible?

So If I cover shipping the frame back you you, you will send me a black Storm frame with 135mm swingarm at no cost to me?
I think this is my only option. It is going to cost me over $150AUD to send this back to Germany but then at least i get the frame I want.

What is the address please?

maybe you can sell it in Australia to save on shipping? (just option) For this money you can just buy a 135mm swingarm.. I dont see any point in return shipping if it is so expensive for you.

shorza: how heavy is the swingarm? It's too expensive, when I was 2 years ago in Australia I sent a 25kg package for 250 AUD - Brisbane to Slovakia... It took 3 days

I can find for you the shipping provider

Ok so pls tell us the new date - after all you did announce the date. If you shift the date you should just tell us the new date. We shouldn't need to ask.

People might start thinking you are stringing us along for the fun of it.

Be aware with headset/tube size on the light frame, It was being advertised as "1 ⅛” or 1,5” (adjustable)" or 1.5" despite being only 1 1/8

I was burned, I had a tapered fork that I thougt I could fit, Now I need to get a new one, I don't want a heavy typhoon frame etc

I did mail back to Vector after recieving my frame and got the reply "We only have1 1\8, after New Year we might have 1.5"
" That doesn't sound very reassuring

I wonder why any manufacturer would go with 1 1/8 that is compatible with the least amount of forks compared to 1.5" that is compatible with all.
yeah... pretty much i'm stuck with a crappy 100mm suspension or 200mm dual crown monster. using crapy 100mm forks has small diameter stanchions and can't have big brakes.
every decent fork out there has tapered steerer. even buying used you'd need to go for >10 year old forks to get someting like 1 1/8 140 to 160mm. if i had a tapered fork already the frame would be on the way to artur.
the frame is not bad but this 1 1/8 headset is not what i payd for. if i knew this i wouldn't have bought it.

i have DNM USD6 with 160mm travel, will it work? or usd 8 air with 200mm.

Hello, just been reading ES intensively for three or four days. Near certain on building a bike and so far the Vector Storm is the best frame for purpose I've found. Is this new product anticipated to be a revision of it? Sorry I missed the 25% off sale in Oct/Nov!

Awesome. Will look forward to seeing your progress. How long did it take for you to receive your frame from order date?
