the chainline seems to be a bit off if i look at the picture from the smaller frame taken from behind. i guess this is because of the wide BB.

I think your asumption that powerfull electric bike riders are marginally interested in physical effort is being influenced by your environment. I assume you live in a flat urban area...

Why bothering installing a human propulsion system if it is not meant to be used? Just build an electric moped like the etricks and get rid of the complexity of double propulsion. It will even get the bike legal in the European Union.

My motivation for getting interested in such bikes was simple...I couldn t climb the ski slopes around where i m living, but i do intend to come back tired after a 20 km ride in the mountains and enjoy the well being offered by relaxing after effort. Hub motors are not the best builds for my environment, due to quick over heating at low speed climbing. I ll be curious to check which solutions you ll offer with your coming mid drive prototypes.

Got the itch already? Feel the need for another mid drive? That orange beast in your signature is one of my favorite build threads.
It is just amazing. But yes you are right it will be exciting to see their bikes. The hub motored bike as well. And they might very well bring a new area to the e-bike community with the pricing they are targeting. Vector for the win ;)

White color really suits the Vector. It just looks amazing.
To bad I can not understand anything they say in the video.

Great Motorbike. It's the same concept than the Stealth bomber, except it doesn't have a proper gear ratio, so that you could pedal along at high speeds. Personally I would make the frame less bulky so that it looks more like a regular E-Bike. With this Machine you get pulled by the cops in no time.

no one needs to buy when afraid of cops.
if YOU would build more like a ebike...so its okay...do it.

for that kind of bikes theres a market.

i have near 2000km on my "Bike"....in GERMANY....driving daily to work. no Problems when you drive "like" a bicycle. theres a risk, yes. just your choice....
when your driving like a dumb asshole, you dont have to wonder.

hello merlin
did you got pulled over by the cops once?
with my normal looking ebike they didn't suspect any thing becouse it looks normal.
but with my next project "stealt bomber look a like" it think i will get pulled over many times.

and if you are afraid of the cops just build in a 25kmh button with pas only so your twist trottle and tree speed won't work any more. (lyen did it with my 18 fet)

with my old bike i was stopped 4 times in 5000km (one of that was a redlight "mistake") no Problem (or had luck)

Image

with my raptor (~2000km) i SAW 4 times the cops and they see me...but didnt stopped me so far

I have a legal mode in my CA that is always "on" when you switch on the bike.
when a cop knows a CA and can switch the presets, i limit the speed over bluetooth with my handy....

I think Artur stated Vector would ship "all inclusive" and that fenders also would be possible. Or not as they will let you tailor it to your own liking.

Btw those fenders look sturdy.

Hi Guys,

How hard would it be to set the controllers peak power limit to 250 watts on the fly (push-button etc.) --> i.e from Bushland onto the road :) ?
Does anyone know if the controllers shipped with the Vector are user programmable ? or will i have to get creative and pull out my screwdriver and CRO ?

Regards,
Jazzman56

Just buy adaptto controller it has all the functions you could possibly want. Including power profiles with a push of a button

You can set a password and lock the screen.
Can blame on the manufacturer that they locked the settings :)
But honestly, I do not thing the Police will push buttons without knowing what they are.

You can drive a car 250km/h but this does not mean you do it, and mainly you dont get a ticket for your car potential. Same should go for bikes.

haha, I would stop you guys here ) In Germany if your bike is "capable" of doing over 7 km/h on electricity without pas you need insurance, if you have pas you are safe up till 25 km/h. If you want to ride more, no matter do you have pas or not you need insurance and driving licence, and to get this insurance you need to have technical certificate for your vehicle that cost a lot.

I was stoped by police from usual car (not police one) because I was riding without pedaling on a speed around 30-35 km/h.. It's not a Russia ;)
And yes Alex, Adapto is good, but with price of 800$ it is too much as for me.
