well, just quick update, iv paid the deposit on an order of 102pcs. took some 50+ emails  to the supplier to get all the details sorted, hence the delay...

will only be able to give a clear idea of price when pallets get here, but it should work out to be a pretty sweet deal.

Thanks for the update,

I am rather excited to put my Mxus 5T into one of the 18 inch rims and thinking of a 19 on the front aswell.

Is it way too early to ask what the ERD might be or no idea as of yet.

Thanks for that RTL, much appreciated.
Ill have to start looking at some of Holmes hobby's moped spokes i think. Either those or some good 12 gauge should do the job nicely.

so here they are!
OMG what a learning curve re. international sea freight.

just thought id post some pics now, but i will calculate pricing shortly, when i get a chance to review all the shipping payments, tax, blah blah.

also I can give weight measurement and aprox shipping price when i get the time to go to the post and ask em'

all in all, im pretty impressed with the price and quality, which looks good as you can see

I have deliberately ordered them with 5mm dia holes, so they can be used with lighter gage spokes without needing washers, and can be drilled out as necessary for larger spoke nipples, and/or at a shallower angle for large rear hubs, although i have recently laced a 16" identicle rim design to a cromotor without any angle issues or need for adjustment.

Awesome news RTL, Those rims look very nice and cant wait to get my hands on a them.
The Quality looks good and to have 5mm holes they should fit the 12 g nicely . Im Just off to Holmes to check nipple sizes now. (12 Gauge has a 4.75mm diameter)
Thank you very much.

price for both 19" and 18" is 45AUD /rim, keeping it simple :D

from the aus post calc, from Tas , set of 2 rims(51 x 51, 10cm) 2.8kg (same for both sizes)

melb ~20AUD
syd ~29AUD
perth ~35AUD
NSW~ 32-35AUD
although true postage price will only be calculated when i actually get to the post office with the boxes perhaps.

Nice work, would like a few of the smaller size when ready. Still got stock of 19's but once consumed consider me in line for those too.

Looking at the 18 inch rim with a Mxus 45 i got 119mm for spoke length with a 1 cross pattern. Can anyone else confirm this length before i order as nobody likes to waste money, lol.
The 19 inch rim with a Mxus has a spoke length of 131.5mm with a 1 cross pattern.

Also RTL you mentioned http://www.newsonsportec.com/spokes.php for spokes and nipples, Have you any experience with there 12 gauge spokes as i cant find a sizing of their nipple sizes and they have not emailed me back yet.

yep, i just got some newsons 11g spokes for my cro in 16" alu moto rim, with the same 5mm holes.
they were good.

I calculated the length on the ebikes ca spoke calculator, and on another one..http://www.electricbikesimulator.com/ca ... anguage=en

so when i got roughly the same result from both, i was confident i had got it right or just had really bad luck

I found the newsons people to be pretty good at giving info too.
must say though, postage was a bit harsh, but it was still way cheaper than any other option I know of.

to ballarat, looks like just over 10bucks/rim postage.
doesnt seem to matter if its qty 5 or 10, price stays simlar.

i was advised by the posties that it would be cheaper in a bag then in a box. willing to do, but id need to do some serious bubble wrap work and find a huge toughbag before i am happpy to see them go like that :D
