Right now, the switch in my brake lever is connected to the purple wire as described. When I trip that switch, it turns on the regen to the constant level set in the software.

Are you saying that if I plug in the second throttle, the controller should automatically detect its presence? So that then when I trip the regen using my brake lever it will turn on only a minimal amount and then allow me to turn it up using that second throttle to the maximum level set in the software? Because that's what it sounds like you're saying, and that's what I'm expecting, but it was definitely not happening when I tried it.

I suppose it's possible I did something stupid like not having the throttle wires connected in the right order, but I was pretty careful.

This is on a Sabvoton controller from LA Ebike as advertised here by you.

Did you get regenerative braking working?
Right throttle is go.
Left throttle is variable regenerative braking.
please post your results.

I have these now, with CA V3 Adapter's.

Also factory unlocked, so you can go up to 200A battery and 450A phase. Smoking performance.

Whats the maximum the 96V can take? 120V?

I think that was 150A battery and 250A Phase correct?

Yes 120V

Its 100A Battery and 300A Phase, but since controller is factory unlocked you run it bit higher at 150A Battery and 350A Phase.

It's too bad that Sabvoton doesn't make a higher voltage controller that 96 volts. I'm already running at 82 volts and 100 volts is just my next step. I really want a controller that can run continuously at 150 volts or more.

Finally updating this after so many months! I got one of the new factory unlocked controllers from evolutiongts and it works great. Variable regen now works as advertised. My original controller just didn't do it and I still don't know why. It was hooked up exactly the same, so I can only assume it was a buggy unit, or incorrectly advertised.

I'm curious about something--could I split the signal wire from my throttle out to both throttle connectors on the controller in order to use one throttle for both functions? It seems like this would work as long as the ground and power for both throttles are from the same source. As far as I can tell, the controller already ignores "regen throttle" input when the brakes are switched off, and ignores "power throttle" input when the brakes are switched on, so there wouldn't be any conflicting signals.

Hey Haulincolin, I just ordered a sabvoton from LAebikes , very interested in getting the variable regen working , I'm glad you got it going finally!

If you manage to get it working off one throttle please let us know how it goes that would be awesome :)

I've been having some motor wiring issues and just finally got everything working again, so I tried the single throttle thing, and it works great! I just split out the wires from my Domino throttle to two 3 pin JST plugs and plugged them into both the primary and ebrake throttle plugs on the controller. As soon as I trigger the regen using my brake lever, the throttle becomes the regen control. Awesome!

i have a second hand sabvoton controller and the connectors from the ebrake,3 speed, temp, hall speed,hi brake are cut :x so just some wires now.
The controller is running pefect to the mxus 3k turbo and i use the orange wire to start the controller.

The rest of the wires i dont use..accept for 1 are 2 i like to use the e-brake function.
Wich wires i need and where i have to connect these?purple and white i think?when purplw gets 5V the ebrake starts kick in@max?
I have the bleutooth app....old app link on the sabvoton page and doenst wurk :x are there some newer up to date app for androide?
