I saw a couple videos on youtube of your spinning up motors with the 24fet or another controller.
As many of us know, spinning up an RC motor is one thing.. getting it to work under load is another

I'm wondering what the maximum eRPM limit is on these?
And what is the craziest high speed motor a customer is running.

I want to run an astro 3220 in sensorless. It is said to be 8 pole and will be spun at a max of 5500rpm ( low voltage setup )

The controllers are rated up to 50K eRPM when running in sensored mode.
In sensorless, they seem to have no problems running higher eRPMs.
In your case, your top eRPMs are 44K, so that's well within the limit.

However, I am hoping to have a VESC based controller ready for production soon. That one would be rated up to 100K eRPM and should have better support for low inductance motors.

How many FETs would this VESC based controller have, and do you have any estimates on when it will be available?

I have heard that the VESC v6's upper limit is 150k eRPM, which is just enough to squeeze ~90% of the power out of a turnigy rotomax 150cc equivalent, IE 9000 watts out of a 5.5lbs motor..
The old v4.x is said to have a limit of 60keRPM, which would make it a glorified ebike controller.

Got my 18fet BT and don't understand why the C.A. is plugged into the module ? Can I use the 6pin for my C A. V3 or just my phone is now for display. And can I use my phone for both my 15 and 18fet controller do I have to reset for just one or the other ? As I had problems when I got a new phone and didn't shut old phone down . Still don't know what shut down. But was returned and need to plug in ?

You can unplug the CA connector from the BT module and plug it into the CA if you like.
In that case, the phone will not be showing telemetry, but programming will work.

In other words, you can use the CA connector either with the BT or with the CA. If you make a splitter, you can technically plug both and it will work that way on the phone and on the CA.

Be careful when you plug it in. If plugged incorrectly, the module can get fried.

You can bundle the module into the wire harness. I put it inside the frame. Some people put it in the battery bag. Depends on how your bike is set up.

My controller Crystalyte 18fet on my stealth
Is blown. Would this controller be a good substitute? I want to continue using my cav3.

As long as you stay under 70A battery current, it will work fine.
For more power, I would recommend the NextGen controller (see in the signature line).
