[quote="Powervelocity.com"]There are a couple of tricks how to minimize the risk of pulling the solder pads from the PCB after soldering wires onto them. The easiest one is to tie those wires in a knot right in front of the silicon gasket exit point. That way pulling wires from the outside will not cause pilling the solder pads inside as the knot will be stopping it. However, I would go with the X4 pin mod first.

Yep, I should have done that!

A new version of the Android app is released. Lots of improvements, here is just a few to mention:

- Complete support for all versions of controllers including 6, 12, 15, 18, and 24 Fet, 100V, 120V, and 150V;
- LVC, Regen Voltage, etc. are now precisely calibrated - what you set is what you get;
- Bug fixes.

Hopefully, "soon". Takes a lot of time to get things right.

Hello
I'm interesting of your 18fet controller, can you write me back if you can help me?

How I should setup these parameters order to run about 30% overspeed:
Flux weakening level, finetune, position, turnpoint?

Just set speed to 130%, that would be 30% above the normal speed.
Flux and other parameters take some experimenting to get them to work on a particular motor.
I was able to reach 130mph freewheeling on MXUS3000 in a 17'' moto rim at 100v with Flux set to 24 and everything else set to 0.
With other motors, parameters may need to be different.

I have MXUS3000 4T in 17" moto rim. I will test the flux later with rest settings to 0 too. :)

Does the regen support throttle instead of push button? I have push button now and it hits pretty hard :D

Before I set anything, which setting on flux should be close to 130%? :)

Hmm odd. I don't have any effect on any Flux weakening or 130% speed option. I top always about 52-54kmh. I use the latest G55 trunk of xps program and trying to modify KH618 profile. Is this correct?
.
Do you happen to have some configuration file for mxus on your pc? I could try your setup. Only volts/amps modified.

Can't tell about XPD as I am not using it.
I was using the native software to get it up to 130 mph when I tested.
I'll PM the profile.

This is just theoretical question:

If flux weakening is set to target 130% speed and I am using Switch 2: setting 77% (77*1,3=100). Will the controller eat more battery than driving without flux at speed 100%? So same total speed, other is without flux and other is with it.

I want to have three power speed levels on different purposes:

1) 50% speed with low battery amps when pedaling on urban to getting max mileage from battery
2) 100% speed with high battery amps when cruising on enduro type terrain
3) 130% overspeed setting with very high battery amps when wanting full power of bike

Without testing, I would say that, if there is any difference, it would be negligible. With all other things being equal, the consumption will be about the same with or without flux enabled and the switch set in position 2. Based on my observation, flux weakening kicks in when the throttle is wide open. Technically, settings it at 77% will limit that.

Power consumption will depend primarily on how fast you accelerate and how fast you cruise. Speed and acceleration rate affects the current draw.
In my case, 30-40mph is the best practical and efficient speed range when the current draw is withing 20-40A. With that, I can easily go 50 miles per charge on a 3.3kwh battery pack.
I can probably get up to 100 miles if I baby the throttle and cruise at 20 mph.

Does it kick in, just when the throttle is wide open, even at low speeds or when the throttle is wide open and 100% speed is reached?

Today I discover some strange thing about the controller.
I unsoldered regeneration BK bridge, and find out that if I press the brake, regeneration is still working at speeds over 13km/h, bellow 13km/h controller locks the motor same as antitheft.

Good question.
I tested at WOT and 130% speed. It kicked in at that time.
I am almost positive that it should not kick in at low speeds as that makes no sense if you still have voltage to spin the motor faster without flux. I'll double check and post the results.
