Yes, right now it's designed around a standard throttle output.

I've been running this controller on my A2B bike for a while now. I'm a fan of torque based throttles and had that on other rides, but I have to say the way this controller behaves leaves little room for improvement. It's very controllable at low speeds like when climbing steep trails. So much smoother than the old Xie Chang controllers. Sometimes I miss the ability to pop an accidental wheelie, but I'll gladly do without that in favor of controllable power. At full cruising speed, you do need to give more throttle to get thrust from a coast, so it is definitely speed mode, but at lower speeds it does feel a lot like a torque mode throttle.

Anyone tested this or running this with a mac motor?

Not that I have heard yet. The MAC motors are not all the same either. At some point in production, I think they fixed the hall timing to be 'normal' instead of way advanced. The older MACs don't work with a lot of controllers.

Ok, I was going to buy a new one, I dont get how they can fix it, since they have double pole count compared to other similar motors, and they still have three hall scensors, or am I getting this wrong?

Well Still not sure what way to go, this controller or the phaserunner, the phaserunner is smaller in size and just 100 USD more when all the options are selected...

I had the hardest time finding a controller for my bmc 600 h.s. Finally em3ev worked. I do have the sinewave and muxus 3,000 but wouldn't take apart my daily rider to cut up wires to check.

The em3ev controller is a squarwave, that is why I'm looking into this one.

What month and year , or at least , what year did the new Mac, with neutral hall timing , get made/started selling ? ( before it changed it outside looks ? )

I have a 2013 Mac, and the newest one is easy to see the difference on the outside , the latest one's being sold have what looks like a machined hub flange , looking much like the Crystalyte Crown Motor.

the 2013-2015 Mac or even through part of 2016 ? have a hub flange that is not machined between the spoke holes.

i sorted it

it turned out that the jumper cable for programming needed to be cut.

works fine with all the colours matched up.

Since you are getting a Bluetooth module, there won't be a programming cable. It's not necessary if you can program the controller from a phone. So, no worries on this.

@ Powervelocity.com

I have looked 2 times now on your website for the 6 fet , bluetooth , sine wave controller for the price, the specs, if it has the plug to plug into the CA v 3 , etc.

All that I am seeing on the website is the biggest controller that you sell.

If you are not updating your website, you can PM me with all the details of the 6 fet controller.

Thanks

The site will be updated with the full lineup of controllers and options. The controller currently on the website is 18F which is not largest size. The largest one is 24F and the smallest one is 6F.
I'll send you the link with specs on 6F in a bit. Thanks.

Are you able to customize this to handle more than 45a of current?

60a continuous, 100a burst. I need the smaller form factor of the 12 fet.

the ignition connector has both a red and an orange wire. By "single red ignition wire", do you mean both red and orange wires are connected to the battery positive?

No. These wires (orange and red) are meant to be connected together. You just plug it into your key switch or any on/off switch. Shorting these wireless will turn the controller on.

btw: this is how LYEN/xiechang/infineon controller's ignition works as well. you connect the ignition wire to VCC.

Technically, red wire is the batt VCC and orange is the input for the step down low voltage circuit that powers the MCU, etc.
It's already fitted with a connector where you can just plug in a key switch.
