note to buyers: the connectors on throttle supplied do not match the connectors on the controller. You will need to change out connectors.

I will report back on whether the controller works with the old and new Mac motors if and when I get it working.

They normally match. It was one off.

Did a video, as well as a video of the EM3EV controller for comparison. Throttle plugged straight to controller, CA not connected.

It would be good if you could measure the battery current at full speed/no load. This will tell a lot about the compatibility.

hmmm to me they all sound more or less the same!? maybe some riding videos will show a more significant difference.
it will also prove that controller can run the mac under load fine. running the mac on the bench is one thing. trying to start it uphill and run it up to full rpm on a steep hill is something completely different. :(

The sound seems to be coming from gears.
Without load, the difference between sine and square wave can be heard on gearless motor.

Yep, it would be obvious. Square sends a lot of vibration into the frame when starting hard from standstill. Sine just picks you up like a wave and silently pulls you forward.

Hardware is irrelevant.
All the magic is happening in the software and that's a lot of hours of researching, developing, debugging, and improving the code. Not something that anyone has ability or willingness to do.

I think all that is meant, is whether we need to buy anything extra to get the mobile device programming enabled, or if it is default with the controllers you are selling. Also, what sort of app we would need.

I was not questioning the development work of the bluetooth capability, just whether it would be available.
New to endless-sphere? Notice a lot of signatures recommending Ebikes.ca? That's because it's the best place for a quality and manageable, (but still 'real'), first build. Justin is a solid supporter of electric bike development, and a good source of equipment.

The module is a $45 option. Currently, it works with iOS or Android. Apps for both platforms are provided.

Is this why I am not seeing the 6 Fet up on your website ?

Is the 6 Fet Controller ready with all the software downloaded/installed on the 6 Fet Controller ?

Is the 6 Fet Controller ready to use a smartphone / small tablet as a display to display current watts and amps being used, and at end of rode total watt hours and amps used ?

just a bit of owner update :)

i have been running my 12fet @ 60a 48v for over a month and it never overheats and i have a few nasty hills near me.

i did try 72v@60a for about 6 miles and had no problems. the torque was noticeably better!.

my motor is a mxus v2 3T 26" and my battery is 2x 12000mah multistars. i get about 10 miles range if i nail it for the whole ride on the road.

as for my previous comment i wanted to know what extra parts (hardware) i needed to buy to get bluetooth working. i currently program via usb/ttl adapter.

i want a 18 fet but the size puts me off.

The prices are posted and are some of the most competitive for BT-enabled controllers on the market.
6F controllers are priced at $149 which already includes the BT module. These controllers will also work in dual mode (sensored and sensorless).

Nothing special is needed. One wire needs to be moved on the board. For that you need a Philips screwdriver to open the controller and a basic solder iron to desolder the wire and solder it to another pin. After that, you can just plug the BT module into the TTL connector.

A few people inquired about issues with Speed 1,2,3 and Flux weakening settings in the smartphone apps. I am glad to report that these are officially fixed.

The iOS app will be updated soon as well.

With Flux set to 24 units, I was able to shoot the an unloaded 4T hub motor in 17 inch moto rim to 120 mph at 100v or around 1400 RPMs.

Thanks for the invoice! One more question as I'd like to have torque throttle mode and you mentioned that it's on the future feature list: is the firmware user upgradeable? Or will i need to buy a new controller? I haven't seen that question asked before.
