Electric Enduro Frame with QS 273 4000W-16KW

Post by evolutiongts » Sep 29, 2016 2:16 am

Up for sale a is a brand new Electric Enduro Frame with the dropouts modified for the QS 273 4000W Rear Hub Motor, technically I put 16Kw through this motor and it doesn't even get warm. This is a extremely powerful motor, it makes the QS 205 feel weak. I hit almost 70mph on 72V, it pulls harder than some sport bikes. It is insanely fast.

Asking $1350 for both the complete Electric Enduro Frame kit and the QS 273 4000W 18" Moto rim.

Both Brand new.

This is the race prototype, the parts I'm selling have never been mounted or ran.

Could you please post some close up pictures of the drop outs? Would be good to see how robust these are after the mods. Did you have to spread the drop outs at all? How difficult is it to mount a disk brake?

As crazy powerful as my 205 at only 12.2KW I got from you is I can't even imagine what this would be like.

Next time I need a hub motor that will be the one I pick.

Yes I can, I've ran this motor up to 16Kw on the same frame and it held up fine. The motor has 6 bolt disc pattern Mount, so it shouldn't be hard

I did a head to head comparison with the QS273 vs QS205 and there is no comparison. The QS273 left the QS205 way behind even from a stand still. The QS273 just shot way ahead and the QS205 could not catch up.

It has a 6 bolt pattern for a bicycle rotor, however you may need some modifications, I ran into a clearance issue.

Sick looking motor, wondering how many phase amps you have put through it and what controller you run it with? If it gets up to 70mph on 72v that's nuts.
What AWG wires are the phase leads?
And what is the smallest moto wheel you could lace this into? Thanks.

Yet to take it for a spin and see if it can haul azz. I will subject it to 10kw (100A at 100V) to start with.

Here are some pictures for comparison. I was able to put on a 3.5'' wide (realistically close to 4'') tire that makes it even more intimidating. Much larger teeth (protectors) on the tire compared to a 17'' 3'' Shinko. It is a very tight fit on an EBB, only like a couple of mm of clearance on each side but it works.

Some pics.

Will the brakes mount up? Or is it too tight?

I would love to do one but my 205 at 13 KW is so kick ass I really don't need it....I just want it.

I love the big tire!

It is pretty tight, very close to the hub like a a couple of mm clearance but I guess it depends on the shape of the caliper. I also din't want to add a spacer that would move the disc mount screws too close to the phase/hall wires. So I ended up grinding the caliper a bit to add a couple of mm to the clearance.

Is this the same QS 273 listed here?
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... 4#p1235434
And are those specs applicable?

Also, what is the width of the rim that you are selling it with?

Nope. That one is with 200mm dropouts and disc mount for scooters. Plus it has 50mm magnets which is what I was hoping to get with this motor but they don't make 273 with 50mm magnets, 150mm dropouts, and bicycle style disc mount.

Hey there,

I'm just curious how the QS273, the Enduro Frame and the radial lacing is holding up in the long run at 16kW?
Some experience here?
