[EU] 6xIRFB3770 sinewave v2 (36-60V @ 25A) [60€]

Post by Sr.Agaporni » Oct 18 2016 12:09pm

Got a new batch of these small beasts. They got the low RDS IRFB3770 fets to improve the thermal behaviour, being perfect for small commuter bikes (yeah, not everybody needs 3kw to go for a 3km ride, 1500w should be enough). Those are upgraded units designed for high power loads (in the 6 fets range). I have tested them in 25A continuous (no hills) without problems. However, I must say that these controllers are officially rated at 20A continuous. Any common ebike becomes incredible silent using these controllers compared to the "old" square signal similar units.

The main features:

- Vmax recommended = 60V
- Amax recommended = 20A (25A with temp monitoring)
- Sinewave signal (silent, smooth)
- 6 x IRFB3770 Low Rds (3,3 mohm at 25ºC, compared to 4,5 mohm of 4110 fets)
- Programmable (same as 12 and 18 fets version)
- XT60 power connector
- 4mm2 bullet phase connector
- 12AWG power and phase wires
- Double cooper on main traces.
- Really small: 10 x 7 x 3.5 cm (case)
- Aluminium case with improved fins.
- PAS
- Ebrake
- 4 position switc
- Throttle
- Ingnition cable (on/off)

As i buy them in batchs I can get a good price including shipping and taxes, so I am offering them at 60€ per unit. Shipping to EU would be in the 10-20€ range and must be added to this price. I can also include programming cable for these units at 10€ per unit if needed.

Are they full sine or only at ceirtain speed? There are lot of partially sine controllers thats why i am asking.

That is a hard question to answer, as I haven't tested them with an osciloscope (don't have one...), but I can confirm they perform as a truly sinewave in my tests, without any noise in the motor and really smooth behaviour.

I'll chime in as I bought one of those controllers to Agaporni.
They work super well, do not run hot at all (I don't have the battery to run many amps either). Super smooth ride, strictly no noise or vibration, unlike the S12SN which is supposedly sinewave as well, but reacts oddly when pushing the amps (and produces SOME vibrations/perceptible noises).
Such a pleasure for a ride, reminds me of the Tidal Force controller (RIP).

I have two/three gripes:
- Couldn't program the controller, the pinout is non standard, as far as I understand, and the connector is MALE instead of female
- The maximum voltage I could push into it is 55V-ish. This means a fully charged 16S LiFePo4 battery won't work
- There's no LM317 voltage regulator to hack the range of acceptable voltages

Despite the little flaws, one of the best controllers I've had the pleasure to test.

Also: I found the seller has great knowledge about ebikes, controllers and all. Responds fast, very spot-on. You can't go wrong with him

Thanks Jerome. Here you have a pic of the usb cable, hope it helps to program it. You can use a estándar USB-ttl cable, but you need to check the correct pin order.
