Just noticed the reference to db-25 cable.
The bms itself is located near batteries. The cables that I mentioned are for extending the lcd and switches, only, to a remote location.

All parameters are controllable. You can get the alarm to switch on at 3 volts for example and cut off at 2.75 which is what I will be doing.
Factory pricing is $214

Many are programmable. Few can be set to 2.75 volts hvc.

Can't see anywhere that this BMS does cell balancing, only monitoring.

Maybe in the first post?
Inwo wrote: Price is high, but they are the best designed (or only) 24s monitor/balancer I've seen.
1.2 amps balance current.

Just a glance a this product tells me it is inferior to the BMS24 from Chargery as it can only balance at .2 amp while the Chargery BMS balanced my 24s 20 ah pack very quickly (in a couple of hours), because it pulses at 1.2 amp!.

Why 25s??...

Ok judging by the lack of response to this question it appears it confirms how difficult it is to get good BMS units at good prices in REASONABLE time...

I found Sunpowerbattery...and here is a link to their products...http://www.batterysupports.com/lifepo4- ... 32_36.html

Has anyone had experience with these BMS units?

John

Only had 20 pcs.
All sold.
One failure, which was easily repaired. Common parts and great support.
Plus one from a customer who connected it wrong. I was able to repair it for him quickly at no charge. That will not always be possible.

Should have the new and improved model for beta testing in a couple weeks.

Not in the works. This company is geared to the rc market.
I have explored the possibility of using two. It can be done, but is it worth while.

Imo only problem is keeping them isolated. Should not be hard to do.
What type of charge/discharge control is needed? Relays or logic?

Hello i have a 16S bms pro from chargery, maybe stupid question ,I want to use this for a 14S lippo battery-pack. But the balance leads out of the lippo's has one positive an the others are negative(gen-ace).
On the bms is there just the oposite input, one negative and the others are positive ,so this confuses me  Can i just switch and connect?

Received word tonight that new BMS-24 design will be available next week.
No information on pricing.

New model has discrete lcd display for remote mounting using simple rj-45. (my idea :D )
Also Bluetooth app.

Selling bms with support has not been easy.
I ended up supporting those that were not from me. Happy to do it.

Second thoughts on doing another round. Lost money the first time. $50 is not enough margin even for a non-profit.

Any interest or encouragement is appreciated.
It's a great product. Very repairable.
No bms can withstand wiring errors. Only one unexplained failure. Not sold by me fortunatly!

I've been pretty happy with the low cost smart bms. Hoping to try at least one more run of 20 BMS-24 units.
The best thing about these is the personal service and the designer catering to suggestions.

Consider yourself encouraged, Inwo! Looks like a great product from an extremely helpful distributor. I'd order from you in a hearbeat.
Wishing you all the best with this.
