I've been trying to get Alex to quote me a few things for a week now. I've touched base with him via email and his text support on his website. He was responsive and answered my questions but still have not received a quote in over a week.

Hopefully he comes thru soon

Its always a shipping estimate problem for the items they don't offer free shipping on since im in the USA

Finally just ordered the set of wheels from Eastgem. Alex says he is going to try and ship them tomorrow, lets hope they do not take 45days!

Almost like this thread belongs in vendor relations corner =P

Yeah, I think EAST GEM is pretty busy for retail orders nowadays =\

High profile sounding company... :D Shall we do a group buy for 50 bikes :D

Truth be told, we can build a bike that good for 1200 with some crafty strategies, and it's more stealth too.

I have a feeling maybe they are just bad at translating English? They sent me a FedEx label yesterday with todays date on it with my address on it. I'm assuming they are shipping the stuff to me already?
They could just show me a label and send nothing of course but we will find out..

I haven't even paid for shipping yet

We will see

Wow so the wheels and the Kelly sine wave controller already came in the mail! That was crazy fast from China

They look really nice. The front wheels thru axle was poking thru the box and its a bit scratched/dented but its fine. These are by far the biggest spokes ive ever seen. I requested smaller but they only stock/use one size on all their moto wheels. the Denzel tires seem really nice I'm excited to try them but it may take a while to lace the rear up..im in no rush as of now.

The overall weight of the wheels aren't as bad as I expected them to be. A tad lighter than the Voloci steel 17" set but they are 18" with much larger OD with these big 3" denzel tires

Also the Kelly controller which was cheaper than on the Kelly website due to free shipping is really nice. They said its specially designed for Denzel from Kelly and it is definitely different. Seems to have nicer 200deg silicon battery/phase wires instead of the more rigid awful ones and it has a few proprietary connectors that I will likely lop off and not use. Wires are nice and long!

Thanks Alex just waiting on the d7500 motor now!

I purchased a BMS from them a year ago and am very happy with it.
However, my experience was that they were touch-and-go: sometimes quick response to email sometimes it took weeks.

YMMV.

So, they company was bought out a while back from an Australian company, who then had investors fall through on their commitments and they went bankrupt.

The original owner Alex still operates, but he orders and reships per order, except maybe small stock - it is hard to tell... I will say, when in operation, they literally has an 80% rate of problem orders, meaning they sent the wrong stuff, or partially the wrong stuff. Those are numbers from management, not me. I can verify though, I have ordered over 20-30k+++ (don't really care to add it up, but it was alot over time) worth of parts from them over time (as they have frames and parts I love, and that you can't get elsewhere) and I got nothing but a headache, literally every time. They never would make good, and just did HORRIBLE business. I hate to say that, but its true. I have made many bikes from their beautiful frames, and it hurt to stop doing business with them. The owner Alex is literally the worst business associate I have ever dealt with.

Anyway, if you don't get word back, I do happen to have one of those HUBS laying around...Just the hub, no sprocket. Let me know if you need it, just PM me.

Best Regards
