I know guys you have been waiting long enough but I am finally living up to the promise: the 6F version of sinewave controllers is now available for immediate orders.
These are the smallest in the family of controllers seen here:
and here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85156
These controllers retain all of the features of the bigger brothers as discussed in the threads quoted above PLUS they can operate with or without hall sensors. In sensored mode, they will run motor super quietly thanks to sinewave modulation. In sensorless mode, they will switch to trapezoidal modulation which will add a little wheeze while spinning a motor. With or without sensors, a smooth start from standstill is there.
No special configuration is needed to switch between the modes: just connected sensors if you want sinewave and don't connect them if you want square wave and/or otherwise don't have sensors available on your motor.
Those who ever got stranded on the road with burned hall sensors would appreciate the feature.
If that's not enough, I build these controllers with the best 100v mosfets available today: AOT290L. Conservatively rating them at 2kw, but they can do probably even better than that.
Just a quick overview of the features: 3 programmable positions for speed and current, soft and hard start, cruise control, adjustable regen braking(sensored only), flux weakening (sensored only), CA connector, and much more.
Bluetooth programming and HUD is available as an external add-on for $99.
Also, 12F and 18F versions are now available with AOT290L mosfets and dual sensored/sensorless mode.
