How will it different from the oset24?

Say if I want to buy a e-trial , future Sur Ron or oset ?
Any idea?
well Oset 24 is available now but Sur-ron trials kits are still likely months away before available.. you could try to order the new Sur-ron light bee X model with the FOC controller etc.. Sur-ron model X and model L1e seem next for delivery .. then probably the MX version ..

if you don't mind waiting for Sur-ron trials model then the features over oset would be : aluminum frame, more battery capacity and range, foc sine wave controller, more powerful motor, ..

also how about a kuberg challenger or mecatecno dragonfly .. : https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... 2#p1382362

If you are in Australia, or NSW to be exact you can visit the Oset dealer in Woolongong and the Sur-ron dealer in Sydney.
I have owned Oset bikes they were my first e-bikes, a 12.5 for my son and i owned one of the first 20" back in 2011.
I took the first Australian Sur-ron to show the Oset dealer when i received it so we could do a side by side comparison.
They are 2 different beasts, but the Oset did looked dated sitting next to the Light Bee. Steel frame vs forged alloy.
The Oset base price is a lot higher than a 48v Light Bee too, not that we are bringing in the 48V version.

As far as a trial kit for the sur-ron that is another deal altogether, you would have to contact evebikes and get prices/availability.

The bike has a motor bash plate, but not the type you want to land on intentionally and bounce off boulders.
It is probably only 2mm mild steel, you may want to use a thick aluminium plate to do serious trials work.

This weekend celebrates 6 months of the Light Bee in the land down under!

It was a gamble I took on a little known product that no westerners had seen/shown apart from “motomoto”

Thanks Kim for your assistance regarding the initial transaction.

After a lot of correspondence Australia received the first “substantial” Sur-ron export order in December 2017.
Immediately after we were offered to be the Sur-ron dealer for Australia and New Zealand

We are pleased to bring so many people happiness with such a great product.
We hope to bring even more people whatever models/versions become available when ready.

A week ago we received the third shipment of Light Bee bikes and spares.

20 bikes arrived and we only have 4 left in stock.
We currently have
2 x 60v in Kawasaki green and 2 x 60v in Silver.
We can supply either colour in 48v too if required.

Just to update those interested,we have the Version X bikes arriving next week.
This will mark the first non-Chinese dealer to receive the special model.
Contact sales@aebikes.com.au to secure your order.

Please note that we have been advised of other companies claiming to sell these bikes.

The factory has confirmed that A e-bikes is the only authorised dealer for Sur-ron in Australia.
We have been advised that no orders have been sent to Australia or New Zealand apart from ours, so buyer beware.

Be gentle, my first post.

Thanks Aebike for the parts that you sent. Still building a repertoire of bench test equipment, but really appreciate the advice and service you gave me starting up an EV project.

Now to looking to purchase the X model to keep me entertained while I create a Franken-bike. Email sent.

Cheers,
Errant

Sounds great^^
Does it mean that SurRon now has no problems anymore with the new X controller?
Because in the big thread Allex mentioned they had, and they were stopping sales until the problems were solved.

Do you know anything about that?

I can’t speak for Allex and I don’t know what he has been told, but everyone has their own story and this is ours.
We are the authorised dealer for Australia and New Zealand, we sell Light Bee bikes and parts.
We have been dealing with the manufacturer directly, and our authorisation letter is dated 19 December 2017.

Awesome. I haven't really been following the Sur Ron threads but didn't think a road legal version would be available any time soon. I should really get my licence!

Read the fine print!!!
The bike is not ready and not ADR complianced!!
It is another gee up from the same company that promised the off-road version for six months prior to actually having them.
It’s poor form to sell something that isn’t a done deal, but that’s their style.
Nice job Rodney 👎

There is no way of giving a realistic timeframe for if and when a road legal version may be available.
The fact is Sur-Ron will not make the bike ADR compliant so it must be done locally.
ADR compliance is a very slow process and there is no guarantee on timeframe, it requires you to jump through as many hoops as the government holds up.
If the bikes become road legal and available we would show the test/evaluation bike with an ADR compliance plate and a number plate as proof, rather than string customers along with false hope.

The Ministry of transport has issued the Licence to Volt for the bike to be road legal. All the information is available on Volts website here: https://voltbike.com.au/product/sur-ron ... oad-legal/
