Well, our motor can crank cout 8.5 HP at the shaft for 10-30 second peaks, and 3.1 HP for 50 minutes but the issue may be the heat for continuous riding with a lot of acceleration and stops. How long are the riding sessions?

Between 15 and 30min. But ofcourse it's full throttle, hard on the brakes, full throttle. So during re-gen the motor will heat up as well I think? I think I should look further to something double the power.

Hi,
What are the physical dimensions of the smaller motor? I can only find the spec sheet for the larger one.

Its basically 145mm in dia and about 120mm long including the bolt heads and the sprocket on the shaft. There are 2 little ears that stick off the front face as well as the wires that come out the side. So if you consider that to be the overall diameter than its more like 165mm. Another way of saying it is that you could pass the whole motor through a 165mm hole if you had to.

I have a cad model if that helps. I can upload it to grabcad.com if LMX is ok with it.

Hello, based on the phase amps you have KT of 0.16 for the 60mm and 0.21 for the 30 and 40mm

Adam,

Im using one of your new style 46kv 30mm motors with a nucular 6fet. It runs pretty well in FOC but growls and sounds like its losing sync at full rpm unloaded. It also has a slight stutter when i gently apply throttle from a steady cruise.

Do you have any tips or a config file you could share for using this motor with the NUC?
