Video on post #43 :bigthumb:

Not sure if I am going to be able to solder 2/4awg to my motor so researching other options like adding more 8 awg wires and I came across this calculator. I might try adding two more more 8awg wires and it will be the equivalent of running 3awg.

Putting this here so I can find it again.

Yay! Orders all shipped from HK! Also have my anderson connectors and 4ga wire ready to rock.

Picked up a charger. Should charge a little quicker then Imax b6.

Now that Jetski season is coming to an end (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o4kbAhwFwo) I am starting back up on this project. Picked up the rest of my connectors and dusted the soldering gun off.

Started on the battery wire! Using 300amp 1/0GA welding connectors. (Very much overkill, but cheaper then Anderson)

First time configuring a kelly KDS48400. Any advice is most welcome!

Anyone know if the foot throttle is 0-5 or 1-4v?

do you have link for these "Using 300amp 1/0GA welding connectors"
I will build 6p usin 8awg wires, so was thinking of crimping one pack positive and another negative together.
because anderson 350 is too bulky, but this looks promising and can keep up my average 200A and peak 650A :)

The welding connectors (DINSE) are good for the price, I use them in conjunction with the panel sockets for my positive and negative ouputs of my battery box.

Made some good progress over the last couple of nights. Finished the battery box and got everything mounted and wired up. Then I ran into the issue that I cant get the damn controller to power on.. Anyone know the secret to these things? The contactor has a +/- on it with the small wires that go to a key switch and to the controller. I assume the pwr cable goes to + and the gnd to the -? But no luck getting the green light..

My dumbass had the J1 cable plugged into the J2 port.. All of the wiring was correct. Now I am balancing charging the lipos, then need to fix a cracked brake line and we are ready to rock!

Need to make a few tweaks here and there, tighten the chain, but other then that she is a success! Next I will take her out for a top speed run and better footage.

I am restricting her to only 5100rpms right now. According to the calculator she should be able to do 26mph. But the torque to get to 26 is awesome. At full power 7500 rpms she will probably do mid 30's.

Thank you!

It stopped raining today so going to tighten the chain and get the gopro out. Should hopefully have a better video up shortly.
