I am just musing, since I ain't got the dough, but would it be possible to convert this thing to electric?

It is a three-wheeled "Scooter coupe", but I think with a bit of tinkering it could be made into a 3-wheeled car. Since it has two front wheels, it should be fairly stable. $7,000 is way too much for what is essentially a modified moped, but I think this could get the creative juices flowing for someone on here.
It has a 50cc ICE which can easily be beat with a fairly compact motor. I think a 48 or 60V motor would serve here. A Crystalyte hub motor running at 72 volts in the rear wheel would be great, if the original rear drum brake could be replaced with a disc.
If one could make this thing go at 50 MPH, and give it 40-50 miles range, and a nice convertible roof I bet this would be quite a practical little city car. A modern day version of this perhaps...
