This guy is pretty serious about his electric car. He might be roaming around in endless-sphere somewhere.

He also has what he believes is Al Capone's car:

Awww. Keep talking like that and he'll NEVER come here. I'm thinking he was trying to sell that thing, some controversy erupted. Can't come up with search terms to find it.

this must be a joke by someone with an obsession for bubble wrap and kevlar. :)
maybe it's 20 years old, from a time where 36v lead batteries were state of the art. but wait it must be 40 years, as it reminds me of star trek, and as it's soooo super safe, but doesn't have a selt belt or even head rest ...

In 2008 he rolled out an early prototype. This is actually current, despite him fumbling for a name to call the tub.

Yes, All I need now is a pharaoh's outfit and a few jaffa warriors

If George Clinton or Sun Ra had an EV, this would be it. :p

Stargate called, the Goa'uld want their trashcan back.

His heart is in the right place, and it is a great build if one was limited to using items found in the Clearance Bin at Ace Hardware, or being featured on Junkyard Wars. It is too bad he focused all his powers of ineffective ingenuity on imaginary structural requirements, instead of things like weight reduction/distribution, adequate power, and not looking like a GomerMobile. That triangular canopy is scary-held on by fence hinges, is going to come off and decapitate the driver in the first accident. The "bulletproof" plexi is heavy, dangerous, and completely useless, he has singlehandedly set the electric car revolution back 5 years.

Getting close to 2 years since he posted a new video of the car itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_qcrCipY4I The year old video of news articles on the car covered articles over 3 years old. I get the feeling there's a lack of currency. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEH_GV2Vems

He's got a business plan, though. Has had it almost 2 years, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ECU67b2q7s

Look at his YouTube Channel. It's mostly about "Scrapping." Dumpster diving for broken things he can fix.

I picture Tom Cruise and other Hollywood types driving these to their Scientology meetings. It would definitely get people asking "What's up with THAT?????"

Apparently has no engineering background or concept of what engineering entails. He unlikely did any crash studies, and fell for the wonderous powers of the mighty pyramid. Enthusiastic dreamer with an interesting armored car. Hmmm, has he surrounded himself with aluminum foil to protect himself from alien mind control, or those who wish to steal his 2 year business plan? Wow 4 million after two years, who would of thunk.

He was smart enough to make it on the Discovery channel.

I was quite amused. Look, this is a broad community, and like any other, it has a range of characters. So, wheels, electric motor, batteries, controller, wiring, lights, comfortable seat, steering, brakes. Seems we're all doing the same thing. I would NOT trade my dream vehicle that I built myself, for anyone else's dream vehicle but certainly not deny anyone. I doubt he has a MVR plate to drive it. I don't need one, because its more bike the "motor" vehicle.

Another entertaining find. Ah the power of the pyramid and I stand corrected, he's the alien. He just said so. I'm glad he is at least having fun with his dream. We are all are entitled to that, just wished he put some sound engineering into the design. Carpentry skills levels just don't quite qualify.

My favorite quote from the OP's first video...
"Here is a simulated I beam covered in aluminum foil..." Looks like a 2x4 to me covered with tin foil!

I like the household fixtures and his Al Capone hinges, which might be custom made since he was quite fond to show them off. Unfortunately these are not quite the technology leap that would bring in investors.

I hate to talk bad about someone elses project but...with the "strong construction" of the frame it is a perfect ramp. When a car goes up the ramp, the bumper is going to turn the cockpit into a gillateen. Remember the "Slicer" in Gone in 60 seconds 2":

^-- lol, it would make a great battlebot.. :)

This looks like a giant heat attractor. Shiny reflective interior, plus greenhouse type design for the passenger? I think you might become less of a sweaty mess on a 2 wheeler in the middle of summer..

We should really start kind of a failbook site for alternative energy vehicle designs... there is so much opportunity

It's probably a possible preview of a pending presidential pimpmobile purportedly patterned and plans purloined, purchased, or passed on by posing for photographs in proximity to the proper papal passenger pope-mobile.

I am glad to see I wasn't the only one who saw the short comings of his designs. This man is pretty lost on many very important details.

Part of what is design is criticism or opinion, things go through beta and testing for a reason. Some things are better than others, him being able to accept that his designs are poor might guide him in a better direction. I doubt it though, he'd probably think that this is just a bunch of 'haters' angry at someone stealing away the EV limelight or something.

I like how the author corrects him
What drives a turbocharger is the expansion of the exhaust gas as it cools and depressurizes.

depressurizes does not have a Z in it! lol
