The chart is propaganda. Opinion leaders won't be there in the top 1%. Not much influence in the top 10%. That's someone's agenda put in graph form.

Hehe... With news just in from Stark Drive in Sweden:
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... 5#p1321838

... guessing the Swedes at least will be "voting with their wallets".

Tend to split the world between "Urban" and "Rural"? And again, for shorter distances and slower speeds... how much tempting might some folks need?

EDIT: Also? That chart has no time plot. (Suspect the rate of change will intensify...)

It's a standard model of how innovations of one kind or another are adopted by society. It's been around for decades: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffusion_of_innovations

Well, it's not standard, it says "Overlay" right on it. It doesn't match the one on the Wikipedia link.

Hehe... Looking to be adopted by a Swedish lady...

In February this year:
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... 2#p1267972

"The Swedish bicycle industry association Cykelbranschen (formerly FOG) estimates sales of around 45,000 e-bikes in 2016. This is up a big 34% compared to 2015."

... and just this month:
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewt ... n#p1321838

"electric bikes that are sold in Sweden (now) qualify for 25% off"

8)

Point being, gov. incentives aka "tax breaks" will distort any curves? :)

The overlay is the green circles indicating there the precise percentages are on the chart.

The shape is fine, it's an S-curve.

If you've ever studied a business or technology subject you would have likely recognised it straight away, it's very standard fare. It's definitely not something cooked up to push a "green agenda", like you seem to be claiming.
