Another DIY electric skateboard

I have a nice longboard in the closet that does not get much use. Has anyone done a swap like this? I would prefer to repurpose the 6374 motor I'm going to test on my GoPed. Any recommendations on the pulley/bracket setup version instead of hub wheels?

Or ditch the external motor and hub motors are best?
