I picked up a used Razor E200 scooter in great condition and have replaced tubes and successfully overvolted to 36v. Now I am ready for a little more power without leaving me stranded due to smoked motor or controller.

The easy and surefire way to fit approach to upgrade would be variable throttle, new controller, and brushed motor. However, I'd really like to make it a little smoother and quieter and looking to go with a brushless hub motor like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000151282939.html . Has anyone used this wheel or another that does not require fabrication?

Thanks, Kevin

Hey Kevin, yes!, they work. Save all the spacers from the original motor and a few washers should get the right width to fit the brake mechanism. I made torque arms for both sides of the rear axle mount out of 6mm mild plate because the frame isn't designed to take force from the axle. Also had to fiddle n mod the brake return set up, just a spring really. I will post some pics asap. I have the 36v version installed and a 48v version in a box waiting for my other freebie e200. I don't think there is much difference between the two motors really. My razor e200 is now a viable source of transport. I don't miss the brushes, cogs and chain at all, so much quieter. I know pictures or it didn't happen...

OK Kevin, I've got some dodgy shots here, the whole scooter is a bit dodgy really but it's safe enough. The brake works very nicely. The photos reminded me that the torque arms double as spacers. Bit of fiddling around but nothing outrageous...although I've been dreaming about extending the rear end, adding suspension.. Blah blah blah$$⏳ A new deck that takes up the bit of extra real estate the motor took up might be all she gets.
