Over the past few days, I have found, ... "Loose" (insufficiently tightened) ... Acorn Nuts on several small model battery powered scooters!
During safety inspections at the scooter park; several AXLE-end, thread-protecting ... Domed or "ACORN" Nuts were found to be easily undone ... by hand, due to the Acorn Nut / Cap Nut having been tightened on the AXLE without enough spacers or washers allowing the AXLE to Bottom-out inside the Fastener, ... before actually applying strong tightening torque to the assembly.
If you have little ones scooting about your driveways, sidewalks and streets on scooters; check 'em out.
